Success is here to be redefined as you depart a very heavy, long, difficult Capricorn cycle and go fully into a completely different way of working, studying, or volunteering for 2021. No more heavy lifting.
This cycle of solutions, relief and release is about your full-time or part-time job. If you run the home instead of working, then it applies to your daily routine in the house, or flat. It’s a brilliant time to do research the state of your chosen industry or profession, with a view to career moves that were impossible in 2018, 2019 and most of 2020. If you have full-time home duties or are a full-time student, this period could help you to make up your mind about some dramatic and ambitious decisions. You are now left with the chance to see just how empowered you have become; just how powerful you are; where the real power rests in 2021 with employers, colleagues, staff, competitors, clients, professors, fellow students or those at home. You may be switching careers or jobs, dealing with reshuffles, new options in academia or unpaid work – for some weeks. Mercury will provide you with the sources, contacts, networks and information, if you are prepared to put in the work. Just bear in mind that there will be delays and changes in the first quarter of 2021 as Mercury Retrograde is with you, so do treat this as quite a long rehearsal or beta test period for what will be a dramatically different career, course or unpaid work interval next year.
An issue which is vital to your definition of success will come up now, and you’ll be able to do a lot of ‘homework’ and useful analysis. This period is crucial, because you’ll be using your head, to interpret a situation which usually affects your feelings. Expect lots of discussion or reading in January. When Mercury is Retrograde in the Tenth House of position, mission and ambition, people say ‘Umm’ or ‘Oh’ or ‘I’m not really sure’ or ‘I’ll call you’ – and that will be evident next month, with uncertainty about outcomes in February and early March, but it must be so clear to you that it’s all change, with your role or goals.

The departure of Saturn and Jupiter from your Eighth House will deliver some of the most important financial, business and property issues of the year and you will be very, very busy from Christmas into the third week of January. I will quote from my new book, The Secret Language of the Stars:
“Your precious possessions, or those of other people, may also be involved. The time has come to talk…and talk. Well, here comes The Great Conjunction of Jupiter and Saturn in Aquarius in your Eighth House of mutual values, valuables, money, houses, possessions and apartment. It’s important so I will quote from my new book The Secret Language of the Stars.
“In the grand scheme of things, your divorce settlement, family inheritance, job redundancy, tax bill or bank loan may well get caught in the moment, on the 21st or 22nd of December.
Later on, in January-March 2021, you can expect at least one person to change their mind about what’s been ‘agreed’ (and it may be you.) How much things change depends on what was inked, this week. Tip: try to keep life flexible. If you have serious Mercury Retrograde problems in January-March, though, you can find a deal costs, so have Plan B, C and D. While we’re talking about Jupiter, let’s peer into May 2021. You’re on the move, then.
Travel or relocation is very likely May-July (planning around the pandemic) – or you’ll be laying the groundwork for an ambitious trip or even emigration for 2022. It’s an excellent time to research the town or country you have in mind, even now, as you’ll be given access to a wide range of sources and information networks to help you. If you are laying the groundwork for a holiday, or even a new life in a new place, you may not necessarily be aware of it at this time as details are hazy. Yet from May next year, this is huge, particularly if you live in a place where regions are successfully eliminating COVID-19.”

What a week. The Capricorn work, unpaid work and study cycle that was so heavy for the last 2-3 years is over. This is central, so I will quote from my new book The Secret Language of the Stars to go into more detail:
“Thus, Leo, you may be researching a future job, analysing the consequences of retiring or resigning, or just doing your homework on a boss, client, colleague or professional competitor. You have Mercury in your Sixth House at this time, so one important issue which relates to your ambitions will now go to the top of your list, and a lot of phone calls, questions, e-mails or website visits will follow. As with all Mercury cycles, though, remember that what appears to be the logical or rational answer, is not necessarily the right one. What about your feelings? We also need to talk about your former, current or potential partner. Love or work. This face opposite you on the scales, has a profound impact on the rest of your Twenties, as a direct result of what happens on December 21st, 22nd. Saturn will give you an issue to resolve. Jupiter will give you a solution. No, make that a breakthrough. No, make that a massive success.”

Welcome to The Great Conjunction of Jupiter and Saturn in Aquarius in your Sixth House of work. This is crucial, so I will quote from my new book The Secret Language of the Stars to go into more detail:
“If you have a part-time or full-time job, the atmosphere will be so radically different now with work, unpaid work or study – that it may be hard to remember where you put your coffee – or your brain. Expect a lot of ‘new news’ through the media, about those projects, plans and goals which most concern you, as well as your particular field, industry or workplace. This cycle is best used by standing well back, taking mental notes, and waiting for the dust to settle, then swiftly moving for the solution that answers the question. The new question is heavy. The big answer is massive, and it will be the first step on a path that takes you right through the Twenties. A high percentage of Virgo people will be promoted, given a new role or responsibility – or be shown exactly what they need with academia, education, or unpaid work. The other huge plus here is your physical wellbeing and mental health. For every puzzle, a picture of completion is coming.”

The Great Conjunction in Aquarius will bring huge breakthroughs for/with children, teenagers or young people, starting on Monday, December 21st. High hopes, serious questions and positive answers. This also applies to parenthood-potential relationships or sexual encounters. There is a real milestone here, not seen in centuries, and it will alter your Twenties. The initial event or decision is the catalyst and it then all rolls on, empowering you and transforming your life from 2023. Could be a baby. Could be a children’s charity or an adolescent education program. Yet, there is a long Mercury Retrograde at the front, so be aware of January 15th to March 13th, 2021. This will likely involve school, college or university closures for many. Here are the full dates.
The reversals, delays, confusion and chaos mean you should keep your plans flexible, because what is apparently in place now, could change or even be scrapped from mid-January. Calling a beta test or rehearsal period is very smart, as you go back to the drawing board, or deal with other people’s flaky behaviour, with fantastic outcomes. In other words, like many a great album, it is the mistakes or rescheduling that makes for the big hit.

The South Node in the same sign as Venus, this week suggests you really need to give full attention to what you earn, own or owe – and make sure that you pour masses of energy into your relationship with a certain someone at this time.
Venus in Scorpio is a reality this month. Venus wants you to look for what brings you together, not what separates you. And from there? All things are possible. And so this is Christmas. For the last week or so, you have been shown a brand-new opportunity to enjoy a completely different sort of life online, with the media, with publishing, education or academia. Someone (or something) has drawn closer who is a portal. He, she or this – may be the whole story, which is possible, even though you are currently seeing an obstacle. Time will tell. However, that rule of ‘like attracts like’ is also true and a person or organisation which you like so much, which seems to tick so many boxes for you, may well bring in another face (or faces plural) which will make a sensational difference to you by Christmas, at the other end of 2021. This is all so very new that you are yet to really figure out what is going on. The first piece of the jigsaw puzzle of a brand-new picture with the worldwide web, the media, colleges, schools and universities, the book world – or fundamental communication, like hearing and speech, or language use. Sagittarius, your ruler Jupiter and Saturn together on the 21st and 22nd of December, in The Great Conjunction, is also big for some other areas of your life.
Siblings and cousins. Now, there is a really obvious first jigsaw piece in a terrific new puzzle. And, also, your electric bicycle, pedestrian walkways, yacht, car, bus or tram access, the train, your old pushbike and other ways of getting around. The Jupiter-Saturn conjunction gives you a serious new question and a very good answer, but you will not really understand what is going on until you are further into 2021. Keep smiling and nodding just for now.

You will shortly make or save money in a serious way, following your ruler Saturn’s conjunction to Jupiter on Monday-Tuesday. Even if you get off to a slow start in January-March, you will ultimately find that every whopping answer to a heavy question is a spectacular gain for you with the house, apartment, business, charity or possessions. This frees you up to do other things and I spy Jupiter going into Pisces in May 2021. So, get out your diary and let’s talk about the middle of next year, but also 2022. “Everyone has a trip they want to take, or a car they want to drive. (I can’t drive at all, so my dream is a full taxi-rank in the middle of Bicheno, the Tasmanian beach town where I am writing this now.) What I see in mid-2021 is really great. It’s an escape. And yes, there will be a big emphasis on planes, trains, cars and boats. It’s all about getting away (for a weekend, or even longer) and also, how you get around town. This is, yes, in the middle of a pandemic. But pandemics are forcing us to think about solutions. Local not global. And other ways to get around – walking, electric bicycles and so on.
Capricorn, the whole May 2021 the whole transportation/travel escape will hinge on your ability to dream bigger and why not start now?
Brothers and sisters are also in focus in May-July. Sometimes siblings in this cycle be the gateway to solutions of an epic kind. Sometimes, cousins.
You’ll also be seduced by a just-out-of-reach goal connected to communication from May. The world of words, ideas, sounds or images. Maybe you want a new website. Perhaps you’re releasing a documentary. Other people will help you get your message across now – they’ll be tactful, tolerant and ready to assist. Gemini astronaut Sally Ride (‘Ride, Sally Ride’ indeed) enjoyed a six-day space flight on Challenger. NASA voyages are all possible. How about combining all of it and going to a region out of town to give a Zoom event about a new podcast?”

You are about to experience a relaunch, rebirth and renaissance. In 2021, Jupiter in Aquarius, your own sign, will also trine the North Node in Gemini, which rules children, teenagers, Millennials and a younger generation in your life, Aquarius. This requires more detail to go through so I will quote from my new book The Secret Language of the Stars:
“Now – People express their personalities in different ways. You may pour yourself into your sex life, for example, and consider your relationship/s to define who you are. I know just as many people who live through and for their children, or even other people’s children. Babies, children and teenagers are their outlet. Finally, there are those of you who consider your creative ideas and projects to be your true ‘container’ and you apply it to children, again, or adolescents/Millennials. Education, sport or creativity involving a younger generation is part of this cycle.
In one, two or all three of the above areas, in 2021 but starting now, tremendous growth is coming. Commonly, this is about your sexual partner, your son or daughter, or a creative collaborator who has an interest in a younger audience. Sometimes just sport because it brings young and old together. If this sounds right, then ask yourself what is most important to you now, in terms of sex with parenthood potential (or step-parenting potential), the world of children, or your creative or sporting interests tied to youth. Maybe, education. One of those goals will be pulling someone into your life, for a few weeks next year, or pulling them nearer you, emotionally. He or she may be known to you (and thus moving closer), or even a total stranger. You can marry and have IVF and get twins on this cycle. You can marry the future parent of your children. The North Node is about karma, you see, and it really depends on what you were doing about 19 years ago, on a karmic level, as 2021 is a return. The reason I am going on about children so much, and marriage, is that you have First House branding transits (name, often, or appearance) and you change your surname when you marry. Or you become pregnant and look, quite obviously, much bigger. Yet, there are so many ways this cycle can pan out. A sibling can have a child and you become ‘Uncle’ or ‘Aunt’ so and so. Or you become a qualified teacher and become Mrs X or Mr Y to a young class.”

Venus is in Sagittarius now, at the top of your chart. She joins the South Node of karma from about 19 years ago, Pisces. The top of your chart is really where you pursue your goals, and roles, at the highest possible level. It is time to balance some very old karma. This requires more detail to go through so I will quote from my new book The Secret Language of the Stars:
“For the next few weeks, you’ll be paired off with someone who is crucial to your ambitions, status and goals. A new boss, colleague or client may enter your world, or you may enter a different phase of an existing relationship with an employer, co-worker or customer.
Of course, people who are crucial to your ambitions and status can come from almost anywhere in your life. We may be talking about your husband or wife here, or a friend – or even someone whose only connection to you is through a website. The nature of the relationship in all these cases is the same, though. It’s about co-operation and understanding – giving and taking. If both of you put the effort in now, you can create a quite extraordinary bond.
At the core of this association is genuine affection – and sometimes, real love. But it’s more common to find yourself being thrown together with someone who just likes you – and trusts you, and above all, wants you to go forward together.
This cycle is about slowly edging to where you need to be, in terms of your success and status – but the trick is, you won’t be able to go it alone. Everything depends on how sensitive you are to the other person’s wants and needs, and how good your people skills are. Astrology can be useful at such a time – do you know the other person’s Sun Sign? It describes what he or she is best-known for (for better or worse!) It says a lot about what’s really important to the other person, so if you can do a little light homework on this, using your favourite astrology book, you’ll be well ahead. One final note – set time aside on Monday-Tuesday to make intentions about religion, spirituality, astrology, psychology, dream interpretation, counselling, therapy, mediumship, Tarot and inner pursuits. You are on the cusp of something enormous which will change your life for the rest of the Twenties so be clear about what you want and hold it in your mind.”
