Did you miss out on the waiting list for our booked-out September and November events in New York, London and Melbourne on Meetups? I have some good news. Win tickets to attend an event with critically acclaimed author, former Daily Mail astrologer and Associate Professor Nicholas Campion at the astrology conference of 2020, Breaking Down the Borders. There are also a limited number of discount $40 tickets for my event too, where I am going to share my secrets about date-stamped prediction for the first time – but be quick – the offer closes on 31st October. Details here.
The Virgo weather in September sets you up for a new beginning with your work, housework, unpaid work, lifestyle, mental health and physical fitness. You begin the month with a Full Moon on Wednesday the 2nd which pulls you in two or pits you against someone/something you can’t reconcile. This is useful because it allows you to see why you’ll need to make or accept changes on the New Moon on Thursday the 17th September, about two weeks later.
The long-term story is really about your soul or spirit, though. Why? The Full Moon in Pisces on Wednesday the 2nd, but also the Sun-Neptune opposition on Friday 11th September.
This is quite important so I’ll quote from my book 2020 Vision (Penguin) which actually predicted this month in 2020, 12 long years ago.
If you work on the Virgo side of your life – good health, fitness, solid lifestyle, useful daily routine, strong work ethic – you will build it successfully in 2020. Why? Trines from not only Jupiter but also Pluto are your props.
Aries, the Pisces weather of 2011-2026 is now building to a peak in September with two oppositions in the sign of the fishes in your chart.
People or situations which represent a complete escape from the real world, will now cast a hypnotic spell on you. The more these people or situations offer you the chance to lose yourself and forget who you are, the more lost inside your own world you will be.
It may be religion. Spirituality. The Tarot. Astrology. Your own soul or spirit and its space. Your unconscious mind, speaking to you through dreams or mediumship. Meditation. Prayer.
Aries, you can go into an inner space where you are utterly blind to reality at this time. At least what most people call reality. You may not even be fully conscious of what you are doing. Neptune in Pisces in the Twelfth House is about the inner life, and inner world, but it is oceanic. You float, drift, cruise and submerge. It has been going on for so long that you may not even be aware of the pattern.
A secret, inner life which offers you the total escape they are craving, without any damaging side-effects (for example, getting lost in a cult, or disappearing inside the shadowier parts of the occult) is a good thing. Neptune says “Know yourself well now. Who are you when nobody else is watching? Where will you find the wonder, the magic, the miracles, the myths, that your soul craves?”
The golden rule with any Neptune cycle is to look at your situation as if you were completely outside it – as if you did not have a great big enchantment of non-reality, or alternative reality, cast on you – and try to judge, intelligently, what your hush-hush secret life is achieving.
Neptune says “You’ve got your angles now. But you need other angles too.” These should preferably come from people you trust and respect, not necessarily people who are going to tell you what you want to hear.
The two oppositions in September pinpoint and highlight just how chaotic things have become on the inside. Neptune rules the dissolution of boundaries and therefore, as this Twelfth House transit is about your soul, your spirit and your unconscious mind –be aware of where things are melting away. Crossing the line on an inner level can happen in dreams, or it can happen to you, if you come across the lower astral. Twice this month you’ll be shown some truths about that.
Organised religion, like the Roman Catholic church, or Judaism, may be your concern now. The Twelfth House has long been associated with ‘your God’ however you define that. For some people, the inner life is about The Freemasons or some other kind of sacred, secret society. Your main society in September, though, will be your own. Those oppositions will show you what you do not want to do, and where you do not want to go.
A stronger relationship with your very soul (or spirit) and a more powerful faith in whatever you believe, is your reward for putting effort into the Pisces side of your life. It will take time and September is the hard part (because Ceres is also in Pisces, retrograde). You will eventually hit a wonderful sextile from Jupiter at 18 Capricorn to Neptune at 18 Pisces from October 3rd-14th, 2020, though.

Taurus, the two Pisces oppositions to the Sun in Virgo, on Wednesday the 2nd and Friday the 11th of September, fall in your Fifth House.
Your Fifth House is about your younger dynasty. Your younger court or kingdom. The heirs to your throne, or their heirs. It is about the bedchamber, too, and courtship. Not any old courtship; the kind that leads to babies.
This is a really old story in your chart which has been going on since 2011, when Neptune first settled in Pisces, opposite the Virgo weather every September. So, you can almost count on this time of year, in terms of shedding light on who/what does not fit for you, as a parent, grandparent, godparent and so on. In terms of sexual relationships.
Sometimes the issue is professional, so you may teach teenagers or coach children’s football.
Let’s look at your Fifth House in terms of a new beginning, born from two challenges. So, the bridge you cross on Wednesday the 2nd and Friday the 11th of September, leads you to a big leap forward on the new Moon of Thursday the 17th of September 2020.
A classic example would be a child’s struggle with the school system, or yours with the child – and then a breakthrough new beginning a couple of weeks later. There are many examples. A grandson’s desire for a new baby. Your feelings about your son and his path in life. It goes on.
Essentially, what you are trying to do in September is fix and build, with the above. This does in fact get you somewhere as the Virgo weather in your chart is supported by Jupiter in Capricorn, Saturn in Capricorn, Uranus in Taurus and Pluto in Capricorn. In fact, once the Moon reaches Virgo across the 16th, 17th and 18th (depending on your time zone) you will finally feel you’re getting somewhere. Those trines to that Moon are crucial. And the Moon is a symbol of parental feeling.
Taurus you have been in an altered state reality with, or through, friends and groups – since 2011. This cycle catches up with you in September. For greater detail I will quote from a book I wrote 12 years ago which predicted 2020 for you, right now. It’s called 2020 Vision (Penguin).
You’ll make some important new friends in these years, who cast a spell on you – or perhaps it’s you casting a spell on them. It can be religious, like some pseudo-Christian cult in the suburbs, which is basically all about the business (let’s face it) or it can be genuinely spiritual. Tibetan Buddhism.
Ensemble casts, orchestras, charities, football teams, ballroom dancing groups, Meetups and Twitter all qualify. The Eleventh House is all about you. Neptune is about escapism, so whatever this is (and you may have been involved in one group after another) there never was, and never will be, anything real-world about it.
There will be nothing particularly real about the friendships, either. It’s almost written by Hollywood, or at least J.R.R. Tolkien. Nevertheless, your friendships will inspire and entertain all those who are around it. Why? They are pure escapism. Something to lose yourself in, cruise along with and drift around in.
Taurus, without your social life as an example to follow, other people would find life rather dull, uninspiring and ordinary. For the years that this cycle is in effect, the friendship can seem like the stuff of myth, film, novels or legend. It casts a glow around itself. Distorted? Absolutely. Real, in any sense? Well, it’s a different reality.
Neptune rules the blurring of boundaries. You forget yourself in the crowd. You become them. They are you. It’s a little ‘I Am The Walrus.’
The loss of self and identity can also happen to your friend. Maybe they’re drowning in you, not the other way around! Work out what this is doing to their life. Taurus, in September, try to be realistic and see the situation clearly. Is this connection actually adding to both your lives, or is it creating a mess or a muddle?
Drugs and alcohol can cause problems now, so if the friendship depends on getting drunk, or doing a lot of dope/cocaine/heroin/ecstasy then beware. Your ability to function in the real world is impaired enough already in this cycle, without any more confusion. Substance abuse will send your judgement way out
The group of people at this time may be a loose, informal network (like a share household with attached friends) or something more formal, like a meditation circle. The same issues will arise. You’re longing for some kind of escape now, and these people are supplying it. But is it realistic/desirable/achieveable? Are you forgetting who you are? Once again, drug and alcohol use can blur the picture. Be aware.
Groups and friends can take you on a magical mystery tour, now. They can supply you with the music, poetry or spirituality you long for. But if you’re blind to where it’s all going (and what it’s doing) then wake up and pull out on these two oppositions in September. The point at which you realise you have stumbled into a real-life shambles is the point at which you really must remove those rose coloured glasses!
A bubble which protects you (insulates you, insures you) against a cold and sometimes difficult world is your reward, Taurus. The more you work the Pisces side of your life (old friends, new friends, people power in a circle) the more you gain when at last Jupiter moves into a sextile with Neptune in October. Like any really great swim or surf, dive or flotation session, Neptune brings a release and an escape. You hit that with friends and groups in October if you avoid curveballs now.

Gemini, you’ll have a Full Moon and Sun-Neptune opposition to get over, on Wednesday the 2nd and Friday the 11th of September. It’s not a huge deal and you’ve gone through it for years, actually – around this time of year.
What the oppositions do is show you who or what you cannot reconcile. It may be your sister. It may be your flatmate. We live in pressured times in this pandemic. Maybe your concern is actually the real estate – it may be your region or country.
You cross two bridges to reach the new path, which appears in front of you on Thursday the 17th of September on the New Moon.
This is an insanely good New Moon in Virgo, which will see Luna being trined by Jupiter, Saturn and Pluto – and also Uranus. These slow-moving outer planets prop up the new beginning, no matter if you are selling property; renovating your garden; moving to a new place; rethinking the household; switching direction with the family.
The exact New Moon is the 17th September but the days either side could be significant. So, your reward for doing the hard yards earlier on in the month is well-supported fresh start, later on. In fact, October as a whole is an extended reward.
You are now in Pisces weather and although you have been here since 2011, it can still be disorienting. Here is an extract from my book 2020 Vision (Penguin) which addresses that in more detail for you.
Neptune in the Tenth House encourages you to use your position, your role, or your career, to bring about your most ‘impossible’ fantasies, dreams and ideals. Can it cause problems? Of course it can. It can even confuse the boundaries in your world. But let’s start with what’s good about this cycle!
You will not want a normal, ordinary or average life in these years. Particularly in relation to your job, your role, your mission, or your ambitions. Neptune will make you long for a life which is inspiring – like a real-life fairy story, or a glorious poem. The world needs people like you now. Without your vision, we would lack the miracles, magic and mythical aspects of existence which elevate us beyond the boring and the corporate. The institutional and the dull. With care, you can take us all higher.
When it comes to your achievements in this cycle, the potential for something rather special, and completely out of the ordinary, is definitely there. However, you need to be aware of the risk of distortion. Neptune rules altered vision.
It’s the kind of glazed vision that so successfully blots out the real world, you don’t even know you’ve got issues. So, as a safety measure, in these years, it’s vital that you ask objective outsiders for their opinion. And do listen to your critics.
Despite the fact that some of what you hear will not fit the marvellous jigsaw you are creating, these sharp little reality checks are sent to help get you on track.
Look at your employers, staff, clients, colleagues, professors, fellow students or volunteers. If you work at home, it’s about the family (housework and child care being your job).
Together, you could cause chaos, transgressing all sorts of boundaries and slipping into all kinds of places you were never meant to go. So…at the point at which you can feel yourself turning into a poodle or leading somebody else on a long piece of leather, do ask your most objective and sensible friend to rate the effects. Are we all going to be inspired, elevated and uplifted by the magical sweetness of your ambitions, or are you just taking yourself (and us) into confusion?
Your ambitions must bear some relationship to the real world, and your real self, if you are going to see your impossibly high ideals come to pass – or if you are going to make it in that fairy-story career. Listen to other people, even your critics, and look at what you’re doing.
I really like the look of the Jupiter-Neptune sextile in your chart in October, when the planet of expansion, growth, hope and problem-solving is perfectly aligned with Neptune, in your zone of ambition and achievement. This also has a financial pay-off for you, Gemini. It may be cash, or ‘cash in kind’ that rewards you.
Doing the work on the Pisces (career, university, unpaid work) side of your life across those tough oppositions has a reward later on when conditions are easier and you finally get to see what a bubble feels like.
Neptune at his best is another world, nicely protected and enclosed against the rest of the world, and this is where you are headed professionally or academically. Specifically, the Jupiter-Neptune sextile of October 3rd-14th.

You’ll cross a couple of bridges with the worldwide web on Wednesday 2nd September, then Friday 11th September. Allow a day or two either side. The COVID-19 issues are obvious. Bali isn’t letting anybody in, and that is one tiny part of the world. That creates a chain reaction online.
The fact is, Virgo-Pisces rules travel, YouTube, Zoom, commuting, Amazon, eBay, Google, transportation – and all connection.
The bridges to cross will really challenge how clear you are, about using the web. Also, specifically, publishing and writing – or using your images to get your point across.
There may be questions here about your telephone, your computer itself – and related matters involving anything from a train, to a plane, to a ferry. It all builds to the point where you will make a bold new start, following a couple of obstacles. You will either strike out on your own, in terms of commuting and communication, or accept what is offered to you.
This is around the New Moon on Thursday 17th September, as I mentioned, and because it’s the Moon, it is personal to you. The Moon rules you.
To explain the longer transit here, Neptune in your Ninth House, I’ll quote from my book 2020 Vision (Penguin).
There is something very 1960s about this cycle! It’s about taking a trip, or a head trip, and it will go on for some years. You don’t have to be a hairy hippy to enjoy its effects, though – just reasonably in touch with reality.
The Ninth House covers experiences, places and people which expand your horizons. Travel is first on the list, along with emigration and relocation (usually to places which represent an escape of some kind.)
Let’s start there. While this cycle operates you will become mesmerised by one place, possibly more, which offers you something special you can lose yourself in. It may be a part of the country that you fantasise about escaping to, full-time or part-time. Or it may be overseas. Turn over two issues in your mind whenever you get that starry-eyed look on your face. The first one is time. The second one is money. If you are pursuing journeys – or even a permanent change of scenery – you need to try and forget about the spell that has been cast on you and look at the practicalities and realities instead.
We live in a pandemic. The only solution is to aim for zero cases, bridges and bubbles – according to the astrology. Travel has to stop. The constant movement of people has to cease.
That’s the real world. The rest is up to you to deal with this month. The two oppositions from the Virgo Sun to the Pisces Moon and Neptune are classic, in terms of challenging your views about borders and belonging.
You may also become attached to a person from another country, culture or background at this time, online. A passport, accent or cultural background to your own may become part of a different reality in September. Maybe it always has been, since 2011, when this cycle started.
Religion, spirituality and beliefs of all kinds are also Ninth House matters. This cycle is famous for leading people into dubious ‘religious’ organisations which can damage their lives. Cults where you are required to give your bank details.
As always with Neptune, it all depends on where your longing to get lost, is taking you. If you get hooked on Buddhism and you give up drugs as a result – and take up voluntary work in an orphanage – then I doubt your friends will complain. If, however, your starry-eyed fascination with an Indian guru has just led you to sell your home and become his sex-slave, you know Neptune’s messed you up since 2011.
Education and study, teaching and learning, tutoring and being tutored – are Ninth House issues. The message is similar. You’ll be drawn towards people and ideas which make the world seem like a far more fascinating and alternative escape now. But where is it taking you? Think about the time and money angle again, then look at the end results of this in September. Is this fitting in with the rest of your life?
Publishing, and its modern variants (like internet sites) are also part of this cycle. It’s all tremendously interesting, because it has its own reality now – and you’ll follow the concept, or the person, across every fuzzy boundary or melting line in the sand. However – remember the rules about Neptune. It can bring chaos, confusion and muddle. The two oppositions in September will make you far more aware so you can contain and control what is going on.
If you avoid the obvious pitfalls in September, you will end up in a travel bubble, or a beautifully protected space on the internet. If you skip the oppositions for action (the Full Moon on Wednesday 2nd or the Sun-Neptune opposition on Friday 11th) you are in a strong position to create your capsule of escapism. It’s not just about travel, or the internet. It is also about foreign people and places, regional differences, academia, education and publishing. The Neptune-Jupiter sextiles of October promise relief, release and reward.
The Virgo side of your chart, which rules your communication, telephone, commuting, short-haul travel, Twitter, YouTube and media use – is hard work. No doubt about it. But your reward is that New Moon which throughout the entire lunar phase is trined by Uranus, Jupiter, Saturn and Pluto. This is an historic Virgo New Moon actually, on Thursday 17th September and it’s worth it.

This is quite obviously the month to sort out your money, house, business, apartment, charity and/or possessions, Leo. The Full Moon on Wednesday 2nd September is far from ideal, as you will be in two minds about what is going on or find yourself at opposite ends of the spectrum with others. It may be your bank; it may be your husband.
This is the Virgo-Pisces weather and it is taking place against a backdrop of economic revolution (Uranus in Taurus) worldwide when every aspect of currency, taxation, property prices, government benefits and the rest is being radically changed.
“So, tell me something I don’t know” I hear you cry. Well, if you bear in mind that the world is transforming its value system, it may explain why you have to transform your own. By that, I mean the price you put on what money cannot buy.
Peace of mind? Pride? Independence? Kindness to others? Decency? Security? People tend to pass value judgements on your values at such times, but your ruler the Sun is only in Virgo in your Second House of evaluation and value systems, once a year.
Skip the Full Moon on Wednesday, September 2nd if you don’t want the stretch. You also need to be mindful of the Sun-Neptune opposition on Friday. September 11th. Confused and confusing! No boundaries! Distorted! It’s not really what you want for your cash, is it?
Through all this you are picking your way through an obstacle course to get to the reward at the end. The reward is the New Moon, when the Moon conjuncts your ruler the Sun, on Thursday the 17th of September. That Moon is rather remarkable as she moves through your house of money, and trines Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Pluto along the way.
You do have issues to fix. You have a long-term Neptune transit (so muddled, so distorted, so potentially bent out of shape) to deal with. So, without further ado let’s look at what that has meant for you since 2011 and what not to do. I will quote from my book 2020 Vision here (Penguin).
Leo, you have been living with this cycle (Neptune in your Eighth House) for about nine years but you have a reminder in September.
The Eighth House of your horoscope covers money, business, property and possessions which depend on the involvement of other people. The Eighth House is basically about in-depth, complex financial matters. It’s also about in-depth, complex aspects of human existence, like death, dying and sex and the relationship with money, property and business. Possessions.
Marriage and mortgage. Also – your will or legacy – and the will or legacy of those around you.
You can be easily led on financial, business or property matters now. You are likely to be enchanted by the particular escapism (Bubble World!) of people or plans which allow you to escape reality on some level.
You are operating blind at this time, so be careful. It is rather like swimming underwater.
Of course, the end results of your devotion to this person, or this plan, could be great. But you have such thick blinkers on, you are unlikely to know right now. So, get external advice and get as many opinions as you need.
Caveat: If you are both wandering into territory which is risky, dodgy or illegal, you know what NOT to do. And even if the worst that happens is just a vague sense of confusion, or a touch of chaos, do you really need it in your life? Avoid confusing and confused people or organisations like the plague.
Neptune often leads people into situations where there is no respect for boundaries, and no concept of what is realistic, practical or even possible. And on no account let anyone who is dazed, confused, drunk, drugged or unhealthily ‘unreal, man’ become involved in your financial, property or business situation unless you are absolutely sure it’s not going to cost…on all levels. A Sun-Neptune opposition like the one you have on the 11th is a good confrontation with the unreality of some realities.
Sex and money are the other big Eighth House areas. When people do not know who they are, they lose themselves in someone else, or even in a whole alternative sexual reality. Are you that person now? Or is your partner? Nobody is going to want ordinary, normal, financial life now. This can be a spellbinding period of total escapism, Leo. But as always with Neptune, ask yourself where all this is getting you. If it’s tears, trouble or total cross-eyed confusion, then pull out, now.
Your private economic bubble needs maintenance in September. If it leaks, or if it cannot take the waves of change, then you need to mend the bubble, or find a new protective cocoon. The reward is The Great Escape, to quote a great Blur album.
You are heading towards a Jupiter-Neptune sextile in October which is all you need to disappear gratefully into a parallel universe. I suspect it will be tied to your work, university degree, unpaid work or your health. October 3rd-13th is the outcome. Yet, you’ll get there with a welcome preview on that Virgo New Moon on Thursday the 17th of September. Use it to launch something so new. Sign a contract with an employer, start new insurance or banking agreements, hire someone and cut a deal, pursue fresh business agreements and so on. This kind of Virgo New Moon you see on September 17th will not be repeated in your lifetime.

Virgo, the alchemy with your former partner, or regarding his/her impact on your life (if you have lost them) requires work. This is also true of any current marriage, sexual relationship or – a professional partnership. A potential partner you have earmarked for yourself, though nothing has happened, is also part of this cycle.
A tough Full Moon on Wednesday 2nd September asks you to get real about this person. A Sun-Neptune opposition on Friday the 11th of September does the same thing.
This is all getting you somewhere. In fact, October is your reward. That first fortnight will sort out a great many issues, particularly if a son or daughter is involved, or a question about babies.
Your bubble will be restored and repaired and ready for lift-off, October 3rd-13th on the Jupiter-Neptune sextile.
This is quite rare, in these particular houses of your chart, as one (the Fifth House) is about the next generation, and the one after that. The other (the Seventh House) is about partners (past, present or potential).
So, to quote Neil Finn, “now we’re getting somewhere.” There is quite a dreamy, romantic streak to Crowded House. Their house is nothing to do with astrological houses, of course, but the intensely emotional and other-worldly nature of the music describes a little of what you have experienced, since 2011 – and will experience again.
The trick is sorting out the mess and the muddle from the pearls in the oyster. Weeding out the seashore flotsam and jetsam from the perfect abalone. You are going to spend September doing that. Yet, Virgo, you have done it before. I am going to quote from my book 2020 Vision (Penguin), which was written about your life this year, back in 2008. It describes the cycle known as Neptune in the Seventh House.
The Seventh House rules your husband, wife, boyfriend, girlfriend, and ex-partners. It also rules your professional or work partnerships. It’s a game of two halves and a set of scales with two bowls. The trick is balancing them.
There may be an invasion of your life, your space or even your aura by this person now, or you may be in their energy field. Put up firm boundaries now. Pull up the drawbridge, psychically. Otherwise you end up in an I Am The Walrus situation.
Happily, this cycle can also produce enchanting relationships that appeal to your escapism. There is always something fascinating, if utterly unfathomable, about the marriages, affairs, business partnerships and working relationships which turn up when Neptune is in the Seventh House, or the phases a partnership goes through. Virgo, you’ve had this since 2011 so it’s gone around. The lover is the bubble. The business partner or the work partner is the cocoon. Nothing real there, and nothing firm or concrete.
How can two people relate with so few boundaries or ego trips? How can two souls connect so fully? It’s like a film, or a song, or a book…except you run into oppositions or Full Moons and then you realise the bubble needs repair. This happens twice in September.
Typically, there are two problem areas with relationships at this time. The first is that one person in the relationship (maybe you, maybe him or her) appears to have lost their personality, their identity, and their separateness, to the point where they’ve lost touch with reality. The second problem is that this is encouraging both of you to do break or bend the rules in some way. Your double-act is not respecting boundaries, or reality!
If it’s you who is hopelessly lost in space, you’re going to need help to break free. The process must necessarily begin with self-knowledge. If you’ve lost yourself in someone else so completely, it’s because you have no idea who you are.
If the other person is also boundary-crossing or line-crossing inappropriately, gently let them know that your path does not serve them – and that they must find their own sense of self, their own tribe, and their own direction in life.
If, in September, he or she continually infiltrates your life to the point where everything gets messy, you will need to draw the line. You are not them. They are not you. The sooner they realise this, the smoother life will be.
The reward for all this work is a new kind of bubble in October. The Jupiter-Neptune sextile is about a flight of fancy. A departure from the ordinary. An escape from the everyday. It involves him or her, or perhaps a replacement!
There is a problem-solving exercise in October with/for the children, teenagers or adult sons or daughters. Perhaps the stepchildren or godchildren. Maybe the grandchildren. For all that you have been through in 2018-2019 in particular (hard, hard years) you are now being shown a new vision of a bigger and better world, in terms of parenthood (perhaps) or just the way the young can benefit the older.
Neptune in your Seventh House is nicely supported then, so it feels as if the massive effort you put in during September pays off, with or for this other person. The other face on the end of the scales.
This Virgo weather is about how you are seen and how you appear, at a distance. Not the real you. It is about the cut of your jib, the trim on your beard, the line on your suit and the way you smile on Twitter. We now have a Full Moon in Virgo, an opposition to the Sun in Virgo, and finally a New Moon in Virgo.
In essence, this is a hard hop, a big skip and a massive jump into a relaunch. The hard hop is near Wednesday, September 2nd. The big skip is on the Sun-Neptune opposition on Friday 11th September. The relaunch (and what a relaunch) is the new Moon on Thursday, September 17th.
This may be about something bearing your name, or just yourself as a whole. This is an interesting Virgo New Moon, intensely personal if your birthday is on the 16th, 17th or 18th – and supported by trines from Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Pluto. So, as you go into the third week of September you begin to see all your efforts at the ‘Me’ work pay off. This is a seasonal change. So, it’s about your clothes, but on a deeper level it’s about the way you feel about yourself, internally, manifesting in some kind of display in the third week.

This cycle will affect your health and wellbeing, and your working life and daily routines. Let’s look at your body first. I am going to quote from my book 2020 Vision (Penguin) which predicted your future this year, 12 years ago!
You will be fascinated by experts, cures and solutions which appeal to your escapism now – and solutions which suggest a holiday from the real world, in terms of your mental health or physical wellbeing.
Your starry-eyed fascination with that compelling medical, health or dietary escape route (or that person who appears to have the answers) could turn out to be a blind alley twice this month. Ask some hard questions first. For example – is vegetarianism right for you, or are you blindly following someone else, without checking if it suits your metabolism?
Keep your feet on the ground now. The health, lifestyle or medical options which float past you may suggest a bubble to you now. You’ll want to lose yourself in them, and bob along. However, your current bubble needs maintenance. It is possible prescribed drugs are involved, or alcohol, or illegal drugs. That happens on this cycle. In fact, you’ve had it since 2011.
Go in with your eyes open, check the facts, read the statistics, and scan the testimonials. This is particularly true if you find yourself becoming drawn, like a surfer to a wave – to a particular treatment, health professional, or lifestyle choice. If your life becomes chaotic or muddled at this time, and you’re in over your head – you’re probably lost in a diet, medical, lifestyle or alternative health choice which isn’t very good for you. See if you can step back and get second and third opinions. (We live in the very, very new age of a pandemic, after all.)
This cycle is also about your part-time or full-time job, and if you aren’t in the workforce, it’s about your duties at home, or the stuff you do on a daily basis at university, or college – or on Zoom.
September will probably be about the boundaries, or lack of them, with a colleague, client, boss, customer or other workplace connection. If you have full-time home duties it may be your nanny, your child, the fruit delivery person – anyone who is around your home ‘workspace’ on a regular basis.
You two, together, create an identity problem, for one or both of you, so be aware. Stand back from this double-act you are participating in. Is it working well? Are you both growing and learning? Do others agree that you’re spinning wonders and generally creating the bubble to end all bubbles, in a painfully real world? If so, who cares? But if a certain someone is now infiltrating your life, and your space, or you are creeping into theirs – to the point where it’s clear he or she has no idea about what is sensible, you need to break the chemistry experiment off – especially if life has become too confusing.
And…all of the above can apply to you, too, in this cycle. Are you crossing the line with someone you work with, or for – or a person who is intricately involved with your domestic routine? That’s neither good nor bad in itself, but the association has to be productive. If a trail of chaos is left behind, like so much seaweed on the shore – it’s time to pull away – or insist that they separate from you. No matter if you have a full or part-time job, it’s time to ask other people if your distorted vision (or the bent perspective of a colleague, boss or client) is inspiring other people, or just making muddles.
The reward, if you do the work in September, is an easy bubble to climb into, in October. This may be a project or course. A role or goal. The bubble involves your lifestyle so it’s about how you feel and function, mentally and physically. Can’t go wrong with that Jupiter-Neptune sextile in the first fortnight of October. It’s your reward for having cleaned the pool in September and repaired the walls and diving board. Later on, you can plunge into your ‘other world’ reality with work, housework, unpaid work, study. Later on, you can lose yourself in a different mind/body space.
This Full Moon in Pisces and the opposition by the Sun in Virgo to Neptune, also in Pisces, falls in your Twelfth House of God. If you do not believe in God it may be about astrology, the Tarot, the Buddha, Ganesha or even quantum science. It is about who you are when you are by yourself, in communion with your spirit or soul. It is about your etheric or astral body.
September is a deep learning curve. Avoid the Full Moon on the 2nd and the Sun-Neptune clash on the 11th (allow a day either side) for this kind of voyage into your own psyche, unconscious or spirituality. It’s too hard. It’s a stretch.
Yet, the New Moon on Thursday, September 17th suggests a really big new beginning. You may convert to Judaism, for example, or start a course in mediumship. You may reconcile with a priest or just go and see a therapist for the first time. This cycle also rules psychiatrists and counsellors. It very much rules dreams and the collective unconscious.

In September, you will be challenged twice, by oppositions involving your zone of friends and groups. From there you will proceed to a powerfully supported New Moon, and new beginning.
This is about rethinking an existing circle of people and friendship. It is about pursuing new friends or joining new groups, clubs, teams, associations or societies.
It may involve a parting of the ways if things have reached that stage. The two oppositions are the Full Moon on Wednesday, September 2nd and the Sun-Neptune clash on Friday, September 11th .
Very close to those dates you will be stretched, and so will your friendship, and the wider community or social circle.
The new beginning on the New Moon on Thursday, September 17th is unusual. You have a fresh start with friends and groups at about this time every year. Yet, not like this! Allowing for 16th, 17th and 18th September depending on your sleep zones, you will be propelled into a substantial and well-supported relaunch.
You also go into an obstacle course with a reward at the end, involving your son or daughter. Your nieces and nephews, or godchildren. Perhaps – grandchildren.
There may be a professional role with younger people, teaching them music. An unpaid role, perhaps acting as a trustee for a teenage charity.
The Fifth House is also associated with pregnancy and birth. Sexual relationships which may end in babies could be part of the journey if you are eligible. It really depends on your personal chart.
This Pisces weather and the younger generation has been with you since 2011. So, let’s take a closer look at what to do – and what not to do. This comes from my book 2020 Vision (Penguin).
This cycle will offer you an escape route with the world of children, or teenagers, or Millennials. It can also involve you with escapist holidays from reality which involve sex.
You may begin a new relationship at this time (or a new phase of your old relationship) which finds you falling for someone you want to get lost in, or who wants to get lost in you. You will not know yourself very well at all at this time, which is why this escape path with a particular man or woman is so easy to drown in.
Neptune is really about distortion. That can be nice. Alcohol and drugs can distort a relationship or add a new lens to parenthood. Seeing things bent out of shape has been a way of life for you since 2011, and it’s back in September.
Each time you see the familiar Full Moon and Sun-Neptune opposition, around this time of year, you are shown what has become muddled or messy.
The Neptune rules for either of you are simple; do whatever you can to separate yourself and become whole again.
What if you are the object of your partner’s unreality? Is all this made in heaven, and taking you to Nirvana, or is it creating the kind of wobble in your world which is producing sheer havoc? If it’s the latter, it may be time to put some boundaries in. You are you. You are not them. They are not you. End of story!
If you’re spotting chaos, involving your son or daughter, or other younger faces, put up boundaries. Protect your aura by surrounding yourself with white light. Say ‘No’ a lot.
The world of future generations (your own, or other people’s) will also be in focus now, because it is out of focus. Learn to be a parent who says no at this time – if you do not, you can expect confusion at best, or something more distorted. Your sense of boundaries, or your child’s, can be weak now. If your life is borderline chaos, it’s time to put some in.
Try to be utterly realistic about adoption, pregnancy, IVF, abortion, miscarriage and all other aspects of childbirth – and the world of your own and other people’s children. ‘Know thyself’ is good advice now. Defining separateness in some way will help.
This also applies to your passions involving children or teenagers – those plans you follow in your spare time, or on the weekends. If in reality you just create chaos together then it’s time to cut the ties, or at least define yourselves separately from each other.
The reward for getting real, sorting things out, defining terms, making firm boundaries and generally ‘doing’ Virgo (the sign of efficiency and method and order) is real.
How can the unreal be real? Well, in October, for almost a fortnight, Jupiter in Capricorn will sextile Neptune in Pisces, so if you did the work in September, October brings healthy improvement, expansion, growth and new hope.

We are now moving into extreme Virgo weather and so your career, university or college education (perhaps, your unpaid role) is in the spotlight. The Full Moon on 2nd September picks up the conflicts (yours) or the polar opposites (you versus him/her/them, or you versus circumstances). This is normal and leads you to a dazzling New Moon decision on the 17th of September.
In between all that, you are going to duck and dive on September 11th, at the Sun-Neptune opposition. What should be clear, is unclear. Who or what should be prominently visible, is in deep fog. Avoid that opposition for judgement or action. Do think about what might be a relaunch for you though. Fresh project? New job? New course? Reboot of your existing plans?
That Virgo Moon is supported beautifully by trines from Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Pluto. This hardly ever happens. So, think about the 16th, 17th, 18th of September as a time to rebuild or build anew. We are talking about your status and success here. The toppermost of the poppermost, as The Beatles used to call it in the Sixties.
If you were actually born in the Sixties then you have Uranus and Pluto in Virgo in your Sixth House of work, so that period around the 17th of September is a double whammy. It’s strong. It’s powerful. Do use it.
The long and winding road with this is set around the time of the Sun-Neptune opposition on 11th September. This is about the house, apartment, family, household, town or homeland question. It’s as unclear as it’s ever been with tremendous potential for muddle. Yet, if you can box clever and weave your way around this confused and confusing scenario, you will land in a stunning position in the first fortnight of October.
I am going to quote from my book 2020 Vision (Penguin) which predicted this year for you, eight years ago.
This cycle could easily give you a starry-eyed view of a close relative, but it can also give you rose-coloured glasses about distant relatives and the more inspiring people in the family tree.
Flatmates, tenants, house guests and other ‘home’ connections can also cast a dreamy spell in this cycle, which began in 2011. Someone on the home front may have had a hypnotic effect on you now, in the softest and most subtle way. Only you can tell if this was/is a harmless enchantment, though. Your life will have a storybook quality now. But is the escapism taking you somewhere you want and need? Or is the escapism now proving itself to have been a blind alley?
Neptune is about alternatives to the real world, where you can lose yourself in an altered state. In your solar Fourth House since 2011, it has been about your actual home, or homes plural, for the last nine years or so. It has also been about your town or country; your family or household.
Neptune addicts us, as much as it knocks us out. During this cycle, you may find that someone on the home front is/was hooked on you, or vice-versa. Ask yourself if this addiction has been good for everyone concerned or breaking the rules in some muddled and messy way. If you are the person who is mesmerised by someone in the home or family circle, then you need to understand that it is confusion about your own identity which is creating the situation. If you get clear about who you are (as a person in your own right) then you will find it easier to stop clinging and following.
Of course, it may be who is the subject of another person’s attachment. If he or she infiltrates your space to the point where it’s inappropriate, do all you can to enable the other person to see that they are not you, and you are not them! Set up firm boundaries; pull up the drawbridge.
September really points this out quite clearly, as you have a Full Moon in Pisces in your Fourth House of home and family, then a Neptune in Pisces clash with the Sun later on.
This planet is famous for delivering cloudy vision, so you need to be absolutely clear about the nature of this home or family connection now. If in doubt, ask objective outsiders for their view. Someone is hooked, with both line and sinker. Does it all look like a real-life fairy story to others, or is this psychological or emotional attachment, creating mess and muddle?
Your house or flat, the area where you live, your cultural background, your heritage and your own country could also spell total escapism (perhaps to the point of reality denial) and have the most subtle effect on you now. Logic will have nothing to do with how you feel! So once again, you need to ask yourself if your need to belong to a certain place, or live in a certain space, is a good thing – or causing the usual Neptune issues about melting boundaries. How much is all this costing you?
Another possibility now is an addiction to your flat, property investment, holiday home or house, to the exclusion of other things in your life. If you are too starry-eyed or misty-eyed about what this object of fascination is costing you (on every level) then it may be time to wake up as Neptune can distort things. This also applies to any fixation you might have with your own culture or country. If you identify so strongly with what that tradition or place represents, that you are losing yourself, take your blinkers off. This is especially important if your cultural/national addiction is creating that familiar ‘lost’ feeling, where you are all at sea, or in over your head.
The reward for setting firm boundaries with family or household members, and getting real about your home, town or country – is in October. That month Neptune will be sextile Jupiter, and having done so much work in September, you can float into the new bubble next month. In fact, the first fortnight of October could finally deliver the holiday from the real world you have been longing for, with a watertight bubble to float around in.

The current Virgo-Pisces clashes in the heavens, and also the powerful new beginnings which follow, suggest you should look at your internet plans, media involvement, commuting/travel questions, publishing concerns or educational commitments as a two-month ride.
We’re talking September and October, together, actually. The obstacle course you take with foreign people and places; the new COVID-19 era questions about getting places; the worldwide web; the new Zoom knowledge exchange – is long!
It begins with the Full Moon in Pisces as September opens, pushing back against the Sun in Virgo. You can’t really reconcile what is going on then, either within yourself, or in the outside world. You then go to a Sun-Neptune opposition on September 11th, 2020, and cloudy conditions.
Yet, out of all this, you move towards the 17th of September and the new Moon, with fresh resolve to make a bold new beginning. This is utterly supported by trines from other earth signs. Your own (Capricorn) and also Taurus star in this line-up and you should really be talking the 16th, 17th, 18th of September as a whole, for this big new push.
Let’s look at the Pisces weather, which is much more about the local scene. Commuting and short-haul travel, city to city, or across a divide of just an hour or two. The Pisces weather is also about the internet and the media. I’ll quote from my book 2020 Vision (Penguin) here, because this is a long cycle for you which began in 2011.
Neptune will weave its spell of alternative reality, enchantment and escapism, and quite strong distortion (!) in connection with three areas of your life now.
The first is your siblings – your brothers and sisters who babysat you, or whom you babysat, as you were developing your vocabularies together.
The second area of escapism and perhaps distortion now, is your way with words – your communication with the world. On the internet, nobody knows you’re a dog.
The third is your travel commitments – the short journeys you take, either in your own car, or more adventurously, on planes, boats or scooters. Electric bicycles and just plain walking. Pisces rules the short haul in your life.
You need to be extremely clear about your relationship with a brother or sister now. Is he or she in a distorted reality space with you? Then look at what it’s achieving in your lives. The head trip is taking place because your sibling has no clear idea about who s/he actually is (or because you have crossed the line into his/her world). So, Capricorn, there’s an identity problem there! Nevertheless, this longing to be with you/be you/have your life will only be negative if a) your brother or sister is in danger of never really being their own person and b) if the path you’re both on is leading you into chaos, muddle and mess. It’s extremely common for a sibling to slip into areas of your life which involve crossing the line in a month like September 2020.
Neptune rules infiltration, which is why we associate it with fog, and gas, and ghosts. So, if your brother or sister has oozed into somewhere that’s simply out of bounds, you must slam the gate. Or perhaps slam the gate on yourself if you have drifted into some kind of fuzzy reality.
The world of words, ideas and communication will also weave a spell of unreality and non-reality now. You would probably prefer it if your life was a poem, a film, a novel or a song at this time. This can be an incredibly creative time, and your own appreciation of writers and other performers will be extremely sensitive.
The further away from reality that various authors, scriptwriters, singers or other charismatic communicators can take you, the more entranced you are likely to be. Be aware of your blind spots, though. You’re hypnotised by the inspired, imaginative new ways you’re being offered to get your message across. But is it all working for you? Is it taking you somewhere good? These are vital questions online, in particular. You may be anonymous, or others may be using fake identities. Neptune bends things out of shape online.
Addiction to travel, despite COVID-19, or a yearning for a specific getaway destination, is very common during Neptune Third House cycles. As always with this planet, look at the end results of your constant craving, in order to sort out if you’re on the right track or not. Is all this costing you a fortune? Risking you your job? Putting you at risk with the authorities? (For example, if you’re constantly speeding to get to ‘your’ weekend place, or you’re breaching immigration laws to over-stay your time in another country.) Neptune says, “Get an outside opinion.”
You would be the first to admit that there has been nothing regular or normal in the way you’ve handled the internet, the media, commuting or travelling – for about nine years.
You have come to expect a random bubble to float around in, which insulates you and protects you from hard, cold reality. This is a nice place to be. The only issues you ever have, come from reality actually intruding. This happens twice in September.
If you can do the work as I mentioned (the Neptune work, on boundaries) then you reach a superb Jupiter-Neptune sextile in October.
The yacht sails. The worldwide web serves. The commuting or travel issues figure themselves out in a really rewarding way. The knowledge exchange is no longer muddled.

Aquarius, you have been locked into this Virgo-Pisces cycle for about 9 years, as Neptune moved into Pisces (which rules your money) in 2011, and from that point forward, on a four-weekly recurring basis, you have to deal with cloudy conditions, fog, sea mist and low or altered visibility. The weather has been there for almost a decade, every time the Moon in Virgo rotates, which might explain your monthly muddle.
This comes into sharp focus in September when you are shown ways to improve and progress. To make or save money more effectively (despite Rona). To stop wasting money, perhaps, or to get yourself sorted out in terms of how to increase your revenue, or just make deeper savings.
We may be talking about a new bank here. A new accountant. A different budget. A proper business discussion. Yet, you don’t get anywhere without the hurdles, and they are as follows.
You have a Full Moon in Pisces opposite the Sun in Virgo in the first week of September. You then move to a Sun-Neptune clash on the 11th of the month. From there you realise what needs to be repaired and remedied, so you make a new beginning on the New Moon on September 17th (allow the day before and after).
Dealing with the rather messy, muddled financial, property, charity or business weather around these Pisces-Virgo oppositions pays off. Clarifying, containing and controlling it all, gives you a reward. That reward is received in the first fortnight of October when you are given a new vacation from reality.
There is nothing fake about Neptune in Pisces in your Second House of money, houses, apartments, possessions. It’s all real. It’s just not real, real. You know this very well after 9 years of it, but you still have some work to do. I will quote from my book 2020 Vision (Penguin) to explain this in more detail.
Money, possessions and property could cause tremendous confusion and chaos in this cycle, unless you take off your blinkers and try to see the reality of your situation. The risk with Neptune in the Second House (since 2011) is that you will become addicted to a fantasy version of your life – almost as if it was a fairy-story, a poem or a children’s story book. To express it another way, it’s like leaving the city for the beach and never coming out of the sea. That’s fine, but you can end up in over your head, Aquarius.
As always with Neptune, it helps to periodically ask sensible outsiders for their angle on what is actually going on.
Look carefully at all your La La Land dreams now, about any person, organisation or situation, as they could cost you time, money, energy and even your peace of mind, unless you respect that the usual rules and regulations of life are there for a reason!
Neptune in the Second House can make us blind to the usual boundaries and lead us into areas which are totally inappropriate for us. Often in this cycle, people find they can’t say no – to a person, an offer, a deal. All the more reason to step away from your decisions and see them objectively.
As you go through this cycle you may find that there is something far too ugly, too real, and far too gross about the sordid world of cash, and business, and dog-eat-dog deals! No wonder you want to escape it. And perhaps you are now capable of leading the kind of financial or business life which genuinely inspires and entertains the rest of us. Maybe…But look at the end results of what you are doing and saying. Is it healthy or unhealthy? Is it making your life simple, or complicated? Is this really a beautiful story, or is it just a confused fiasco?
What is normal and mundane about the world will either strike you as extremely boring now (“Who wants to pay tax?”) or far too vulgar (“Don’t let’s talk about the bills when we’ve just made love.”) In order to spin a fantasy life you must compromise with Reality somewhere along the line, though. A financial realist who is also a starry-eyed idealist really can create miracles!
Confused boundaries with money are common now. Lending or paying friends, for example. Crossing lines with the family. September is an excellent month to wake up and get real. The reward is October. Repair or even replace your bubble. You can float around in better bubbles if you do the work this month.

Pisces, the Virgo weather concerns your former, current or potential partner. Love or work. This weather blows through your chart, to help you work out what climate change (astrological climate change) is doing, and how to make a fresh start later on. This may be your ex-wife or an old lover. It may be your second husband or the boyfriend you have at the moment. Professional partnership can also feel like a marriage, non?
The Full Moon as September begins puts you in two minds or unbalances the scales. That is okay and you move on, the better to set priorities. Later on, the Sun clashes with your ruler Neptune on the 11th and you may want to steer clear of the 10th, 11th, 12th for judgements about him/her, or action plans. It’s an unsuitable time because an opposition is a stretch, and Neptune can distort things so that you are not seeing straight.
Keep tracking what is going on and separating the wheat from the chaff, as you will be in a superior position by the New Moon on the 17th. Allow a day or two either side. This is a solid New Moon which will help you settle any new deal with your former, current or potential partner. It is supported by trines from most of the outer planets, which is unusual. So, the third week of September is the green light you seldom see.
Where you go from there is based on earlier navigation in September and it’s the right direction.
Neptune in Pisces has been with you since 2011 and into the end of (almost) a decade with this cycle, it’s good to recap.
I’ll quote from my book 2020 Vision (Penguin) here to give you more detail.
The First House rules your appearance, image, reputation and public profile. It brings issues about your outer packaging or ‘advertising’ – how you present yourself to the world, as well as the way you are seen. YouTube? Your website? The media?
Cosmetic surgery, cosmetics, hair colour, photographs, promotion, advertising, business cards, clothes, accessories, branding and status symbols are just a few of the avenues which Neptune will work through now.
It is the planet of unreality. It has nothing to do with what’s real, practical, and everyday. But it has everything to do with what is enchanting, fascinating, mesmerising and storybook. For about nine years now, this has been a triumph for you, but also cost you dear, in terms of muddle and mess. Confusion. Maybe – getting lost out there in the ‘Me’ world.
You could become addicted to a vision of yourself – or a version of yourself, if you like – very easily now. Neptune rules addiction because we associate it with opium and alcohol.
That’s fine, this ‘me’ addiction, but what is it achieving? Where is it taking you? Becoming hooked on looking (or appearing) a particular way is neither good nor bad for you, by itself, but you do need to look at the impact it is having on your life. If you are perfecting your look to the point where you are spending your mortgage on laser surgery, then phone a friend! Equally, if you become fascinated by the idea of presenting yourself as someone you are not, it will cause problems. As with all Neptune cycles, a trusted friend or partner who has a good reality and unreality detector can really help you now.
The Sun-Neptune opposition in September, and the Full Moon in Pisces, your own sign, underscores the importance of this.
If you work in a profession where appearances are everything (like acting, for example) or your status in life depends on your looks (you’re a trophy wife or husband, and you know it) then this cycle needs special consideration. If you make your surface the priority, instead of your substance, you may find that other areas of your life are coming a poor second. There has to be more to life than looking good or making sure that things look ‘right.’ Right? And…one can become the image and forget the real person. This confuses the family, or partners, or close friends. September calls this up.
The best way to enjoy this cycle, is not to take Neptune too seriously. Play with the notion of image and appearances and have fun with it. Switch your hair colour, throw fancy-dress parties, try your Boho look/lifestyle for a year, then switch to Neo Con the next. Make sure the people around you know that it’s just another story, rather than the whole book. And remind yourself, every minute of the day, that this is just your cover, and neither you, nor anyone around you, should attempt judgement on something so superficial.
The more you mythologise who you are, the less other people will trust what you are projecting. You also need to look at the whole question of confusing others, as well as yourself. Neptune at its most extreme, in Pisces, can produce an internet hologram which baffles others, as much as it baffles you. September is a good time to address that. In fact, if you put the work into image, October is your reward. It’s hard to beat Neptune in Pisces sextile Jupiter in Capricorn, in your zone of public face/public self. If you have been looking for some kind of solution, October provides it, if you did the work in September!
