The New You is the Old You – Remodeled for 2019-2021

Who cares about image? Well, if you’re an influencer on Twitter, your face and name translates into money. If you are an actor, your face is also your fortune. We are now getting down to the basics of your mother’s nose, father’s height DNA, or your weight. Your reputation (as it stands on Google) and your capacity for self-promotion. Sagittarius, you would have to try very hard indeed to avoid a relaunch, makeover or rebirth near these dates: 2nd, 10th, 17th, 21st, 29th September. This is ongoing as well – in fact the process won’t be finished until the opening days of December.

It is to your total advantage. You will expand your influence across the worldwide web and across town. You will eradicate one or more issues affecting the way you look – or the way you are seen. Depending on the work you did since late 2018, it is possible you will become famous, or just find a better kind of fame. If you need to clear your name or sort things out, then this is also the period in which to pursue solutions.

Jupiter in Sagittarius is taken a long time to do its work, as this planet has been retrograde, or appearing to travel backwards and get stuck, for several months. Yet, now this cycle is at full throttle. You also have Ceres in Sagittarius, your own zodiac sign, so there will be a fierce compromise over how you are seen – and how you appear. This may be with your publicist, stylist or similar, depending on your job. It may be (very commonly) a major compromise with a personal trainer or weight-loss coach. The final quarter version of yourself, at least as far as the internet is concerned, is the same ‘new you’ who will be at the heart of so many questions about the way things were back in the early Millennium – but that doesn’t happen until May 2020 and 2021.

Success, Ambition, Position and Mission

Heavy Virgo weather at the highest point of your horoscope makes this the busiest and most important month of the year for your career, unpaid work or university/college degree. The first seven days brings a perfect blitz of discussions and decisions, and then by about 14th September, at the Full Moon, hanging so low, white, bright and light above the horizon – you feel as if there is some kind of spotlight on your Curriculum Vitae. Actually, Sagittarius, there is. Though you may prefer to skip the 13th, 14th, and 15th entirely for decisions about your job, voluntary role or degree. Life will be a stretch then anyway, and there are easier times to go in and clarify things. There is more to this current question mark about your life path, too, because of another cycle you are going through!

This is the historic Uranus in Taurus cycle, which can only occur once in your adult life. It began in May 2018 and by now, you should be seeing just what it brings to your working day; your lifestyle; your work ethic; your daily routine. This is pretty revolutionary by your old standards and September seems likely to bring everything to a head, though there may be a further big decision about your career, degree or unpaid role in May 2020.

You have already been thrown two, three or four most unexpected curve balls. The last thing you expected, actually, in terms of the person or organisation – or the actual role or project. Quite mad. Also, rather exciting. I hope you can see that apart from having things happen *to* you in 2018-2019, you have also been quite proactive. It is you who has seen the light and been slowly but surely trying to build a different future for yourself. One in which you are less tied down. One in which you have bags more room to move, so you can explore and expand within your special area of skill or interest.

Other waves and ripples have been occurring. Life is not the same. In September you will begin to see why this might have been happening, and what it is suggesting for your future. It’s really early days, Sagittarius, but if you were reading your horoscope over the last nine months, and you have been proactive – then you are turning the key in your own lock – and by 2020 or 2021 you could be free. Oh, so free.

House, Family, Apartment, Town, Country, Household

You periodically have these reminders about boundaries within the family or the household. This may be your parents, your daughter, your flatmate/roommate or a tenant who lives with you. The boundaries are likely to be spatial, so we’re talking about people who spread everywhere, all over the place, all the time! They may be more subtle and very much about your privacy, your personal space or your own particular parameters. The relative who drops in can be an issue on this kind of cycle.

So which kind of cycle? Well, it’s Neptune’s transit in Pisces, a random sign at the best of times, in the Fourth House of your solar chart, which describes the rooms in your home, but also the garden and surrounds. The street and local area. Your country – so issues about border control. Also, most certainly, the family circle on all sides and how it functions (or not). We also have to include your landlord, landlady, tenant, lodger and the shared household of renters. You could include neighbours too.

Neptune needs control and monitoring, like oozing substances in Ghostbusters. Incidentally, hauntings are not unknown on this cycle either. You have an ongoing challenge here, because this is a long cycle, but if you want ‘a life less messy’ then you will be pretty strict with yourself and others this month. In fact, Sagittarius, if you just let things run, you are going to hit the mother of all moments of truth on the Full Moon of 14th September.

As Neptune rules water, be aware of the potential for storms, flooding, weak swimming pool or pond walls and so on. You would obviously be looking at washing machines, the plumbing and the bathroom or shower too. This is worth mentioning as some of you Sagittarius have horoscope factors in Cancer too, and that rules the home.

Without examining each and every manifestation of Neptune’s transit, let’s just say that home and family need work and effort. Help yourself out here by avoiding 13th, 14th, 15th September for some kind of family summit, or roof repair, or local council application. The astrological weather then is just too hard and you’re better off trying to control things later in September or later this year.  You can double that message if drugs, prescription drugs or alcohol seems to play a bigger part in your family or household than seems normal!

Sexual Relationships, Babies, Children, Teenagers, Young Adults

You are now in a completely different space, where pregnancy, babies, schoolchildren, teenagers or younger adults (old enough to be your own children) are concerned. This also extends to sexual relationships with parenthood potential. You are well and truly out of the long Uranus in Aries cycle which dominated your life for so many years – when nothing could ever be predicted for very long – and everything ultimately came down to your own independence, space and freedom, or that of another person.

In its place you have teachers, lecturers, mentors around you (perhaps) or organisations and situations designed to instruct you. There is a strong educational theme showing up in 2019 and it is emphasised in September. What you are being shown is pretty unusual: almost anything goes! Forget the old rules or attitudes, the old assumptions or expectations. You are now in quite wild territory, as Chiron goes through Aries. There is also a sense that nothing is real. Nothing is usual or ordinary. That brings in an even greater idea about experimentation but also escapism. You may be a parent, you may not. You may have a paid or unpaid involvement with younger people or leave them well enough alone…yet September will give you a complicated education. More conservative, traditional or conventional individuals might find your experiment hard to digest, but perhaps it’s the future of parenting. The future of generation gaps. The future of particular sexual relationships.

Friends and Groups

The hands-down most important period of 2019 for your group, and the friendships within that group, is September-October. We have an important New Moon on 28th September. As New Zealand is far, far in front of America you may need to allow for the 27th through 29th of September as the time to make your fresh start. That means you are across all the time zones on Twitter and on your email. You could join a new group then or put more energy into an existing involvement, essentially rebooting your membership or commitment.

One of the funniest things about the internet is the rise and rise of inexperienced amateur astrologers, who also dabble in the occult and witchcraft – who seize upon each and every New Moon as some kind of gateway to instant sex or money. Actually, a New Moon is nothing of the kind. So please ignore the purple candle brigade who tend to go into overdrive at this time.

A New Moon is a new beginning. The birth of something or someone unprecedented. It can be tough. It can be great. It depends on your chart. So…this New Moon is strong. It works. It makes the road from September to October so clear for you. But it’s tailored to your social life, your social media, and the organised networks or communities of people you are involved with. An environmental organisation, for example, or your jazz band. I am sure you have your particular team, club, society, association or similar front-and-center as you are reading this. They are all, or mostly, friends.

You will launch yourself and the others in a strong new direction very close to the end of September, following a whole month of intriguing discussion, questions without answers, and questions *with* answers too. Inner debate and a lot of ‘What if’ will have taken place, particularly near 16th September when Mercury and Venus both oppose Chiron. From these conversations and emails, these Twitter notes, will come this firm fresh start, as October is just around the corner. And that new direction with old and new friends, and the group, will keep you pretty busy until April 2020, when it’s time to examine how it’s all going.
