November 23rd, 24th, 25th, 26th, 27th is your window for the biggest and best outcomes with America, Asia and/or Europe – depending on your location, Aries. You may be thinking about moving, striking a deal, exporting/importing – or just taking the holiday of your dreams. Why does such a vacation become possible? Deals! In fact, you’d be crazy not to be trawling Twitter with hashtags like #flights and #cruises in that last week of December.
One of the reasons it all becomes so instantly affordable and accessible is foreign currency exchange rates. Mercury Retrograde in the finance sign, Scorpio, is here. Consequently pounds, euros and dollars are sliding all over the place in relation to each other, but if you pick the right destination to travel to, move to – or do business with – you will absolutely gain.
Education, Academia, Books, Websites
You’ve waited a really long time for this, because Ceres has made 2019 such a stand-off for you, but once she changes signs on November 15th, the coast is clear for you to take full advantage of stunning solutions or big opportunities involving universities, colleges, schools, adult education, the lecture circuit, libraries, publishers, literary agents, Amazon self-publishing and your own website. Just say yes, November 23rd-27th. No regrets. It may be an honorary degree for some of you, or a delicious book deal. Your own YouTube educational channel. It goes on. The main thing is, if you don’t use the weather now, you lose it. Aries, you’re usually first in line for this anyway.
Money and Mercury Retrograde
Mercury Retrograde in Scorpio is not over, until the final shadow, on the weekend of 7th December. This means you’ll be rescheduling, reviewing, rethinking, retracting, with your money. This may be your shares, business investment, house or apartment. The mortgage and marriage. Divorce settlements and childcare costs both come under Scorpio in your chart.
If you can imagine the flux that comes when you don’t use astrology, you’ll feel better! Just knowing this cycle is here will help you box clever. For example, you would not want to walk into a big discussion about bank accounts or money owed, when we have the dodgy transits of November 11th, 12th, 24th. You can allow 24 hours either side of those dates for the world to catch up with itself. Why are they dodgy transits? Well, for a start, you’re not going to see anything stick. It’s going to slide, by all the laws of astrology.
You also have your ruler Mars, who can be way too hardline, impatient and aggressive – marching in. You know you’ll be spoiling for a fight near the 11th, 12th, 24th or the other person certainly will be. Scorpio is usually about your husband/wife/boyfriend/girlfriend/lover. It can sometimes be about the family.
Use November as the redrafting time, of the redraft. Think about life after 7th December and if you can put the big number discussions off, or the paperwork, do so. If you have no choice at all in this matter, because you are dealing with other people or organisations who are essentially clueless about Mercury Retrograde, go in – but follow the rules. Get it in writing, read the fine print, have Plan B and Plan C. Allow for delays, changes and total reversals! This all comes out in the wash in December, but I don’t want you to get caught.

Now that difficult Ceres is set to change signs on November 15th, the stage is set for you to gratefully receive the mother of all money solutions, November 23rd-27th. This year has been ridiculous in terms of potential and actual delivery! You’ve been thrown options and opportunities, obvious doors to walk through – financially. This has been about your shares, business, house, apartment, valuables, charity, trust, inheritance, legacy or company. Instead you have been seeing things snatched away (one example). You have also found a lot of really deep-seated emotion welling up. There’s been a lot of entitlement around. He/she/they think it’s ‘theirs’ to own and this has been a thorn in your side. Taurus, you’ve also been shown the difficulties of compromise or deal-making, to the point where nothing has really come to pass, as it should.
You will be given the kind of epic solution or tremendous opportunity, not possible in 12 years, on November 23rd, 24th, 25th, 26th or 27th. It’s karmic. Be really careful about the trade-off. You will have to pay for every single thing when the Nodes are in your financial sectors, May 6th, 2020 to January 18th, 2022. That’s a time of spiritual reckoning. Such a tricky month. Mercury Retrograde bringing delays, reversals and changes with the original agreements or plans involving your wife. Same for your husband, boyfriend or girlfriend. This same zone of your chart also rules the opposition. Enemies or rivals! It all makes sense when you realise this chart sector is about the scales. So, it’s always about two sides two people. That is you and he/she locked in a duel or a duet.
Right near the 11th, 12th, 24th you have some of the year’s most difficult patterns, involving this person, or his/her situation. Think about life after 7th December if you really want to talk and make it last. This also goes for any paperwork. Now, this may be you taking legal action or having it visited upon you. It can happen on this cycle.
It may be a bad marriage finally heading for separation, or conversely – you deciding to tie the knot with a long-term lover after an affair of many years. Your personal birth chart will tell the story if you are a Premium Member.

Well, this is interesting for your duet or duel. You’re going to see everything happen really quickly, after a year of false starts and ‘almost’ situations, Gemini. In fact, I predict you’ll be awfully happy, in the end.
The astrology can only happen once in 12 years, then once in 19 years. Ceres out of Sagittarius on November 15th, with a Jupiter-Venus conjunction and New Moon in Sagittarius, between November 23rd-27th. The South Node in Sagittarius, May 6th, 2020 to January 18th, 2022. What we’re talking about here is massive past life karma with/for your wife. Your husband, boyfriend or girlfriend. Your ex. Your rival or enemy.
This is all Seventh House stuff, so it’s the kiss (or kiss-off) zone of your chart. Bad Gemini marries will end now but amicably, or with a much better financial settlement or childcare agreement than you could have hoped for. A good marriage will produce another child (perhaps) or a better home. Maybe a trip overseas. You two want more!
If you are single it’s a happy hunting ground. You may hear that a person you have always secretly loved, is about to split from a partner. That’s obviously good news for you.
Gemini, if you are in a business or work partnership – like Donald Trump’s special relationship with Boris Johnson, a Gemini like yourself – the final week of November is a sweet duet. It’s music to your ears. It’s Sonny and Cher at their Sixties best, or Simon and Garfunkel at their Seventies best. I’m not saying it’s a simple duet, because Venus is always about envy, somewhere – but it’s good.
We have to remember what Venus is. I read a lot of really dubious ‘astrology’ on Twitter about this planet. She’s not about love. She’s about desire. Seduction. Jealousy. Insecurity. Passion. Game-playing. In other words, she is the real thing. Liz Greene gave a superb lecture on Venus many years ago at Oxford University and summed it up so well. Venus, in your life, is about layer upon layer.

Essentially, karma is being spun here, in the final week of November. It goes on until the start of 2022 so be really careful about what you lay down, or what you accept.
If you have an enemy or opponent, then this is also a special relationship. A fight can be like a bad marriage. (And a bad marriage can be a fight). Between the two of you, though, something resembling an epic and sweeping solution will appear, last week of November. For one of you it might be The Answer (Capital T and capital A).
Work, Duty, Service, Health, Mental Health
Your ruler Mercury is retrograde all month in your zone of work, duty, service, health and mental health. Keep your diary flexible as you will be rescheduling. It may be a winter cold if you’re in London or some year-end work reshuffle if you’re finishing up in Australia. In the United States, you may find bigger decisions in Washington affect your whole corporation or company so the whole work sphere is in question.
Please skip these dates: 11th, 12th, 24th and allow 24 hours either side. You are not out of this until Mercury is out of shadow, which is the weekend of 7th December. Remember. November 11th, 12th, 24th and December 7th. The smart thing to do would be to allow for a reversal of a reshuffle which is coming, or just a delay with it. This may be hours, tasks, duties – or bigger stuff, like promotion, demotion, redundancy, hiring and firing.
We are going to see the mother of all global transformation, from the moment Ceres goes into Capricorn, November 15th, and as this is about big business, multinationals, Prime Ministers, Presidents and global corporate, there will be a chain reaction. It goes on into January when people start being thrown out of their roles. There will also be a ton of mergers.
This has an effect on your own job. Your unpaid work. Your university or college course. Ripple effect from big stones rearranged at the top of the mountain. Pebbles bounce into your pool.
This can make you feel as if you are swimming sideways or climbing up, down, back, left, right – in November. Try to get everything in writing, read the fine print, have Plan B and Plan C. Routine will not be routine. This may be your housework or the children, affected by your husband’s career situation – or your cleaning staff, who cannot cope with your weird new professional circumstances!
You will know where you stand, once and for all, after the first week of December. Every single detail by then will have been replayed and ironed out. Until then at least stay on top of the routine you can control, which is fruit and vegetables. We know that works. Water too. That also works. And being fit will keep you feeling relatively normal!
There is link here to your escape from reality. In other words, your current job, unpaid role or course. What you’re being confronted with here is the nuts and bolts of your duty to others. Babies, Infants, Children, Teenagers, Young Adults, Sexual Relationships
November will feel like playing Monopoly, particularly if you have a son or daughter, nieces or nephews, godchildren. Any paid or unpaid involvement with school children, adolescents or people born in the 1990’s (like your job as a teacher) will also feel like a board game. To be clear – Monopoly played backwards.
There is a random quality to November as Mercury goes retrograde so keep your diary flexible. Your son’s 2020 school terms and/or teachers may change once or twice. A year-end project involving teenagers or so-called Millennials (actually born in the 1990’s, so in their twenties) may be long, drawn-out and complicated. Again, we have Mercury to thank for this, as he is stalling, going backwards and retracing his steps from October.
For a peaceful life avoid November 11th 12th, 24th and wait until December 7th for life to return to normal. We have some oppositions in the heavens on those dates. Allow 24 hours either side. This may be your young niece and the situation with her parents (which you feel responsible for) or an intern at work, straight out of university/college, who reverses a commitment. Your personal chart will tell the story.

What we’re seeing here is wild weather in your Fifth House. This is often mistakenly described as the house of hobbies. It’s only about hobbies if they are shared by old and young. Harry Potter fan clubs. Riding. Classical music. It’s about what binds the generations together. This may just be your blood ties!
Normally Mercury would bring confirmation, so the adoption process would be swift and free of red tape, or your plans for I.V.F. would be pretty fuss-free. Mercury is now going backwards, though, so what you assumed was in place in October – never was. There will be alterations, waiting games or perhaps a reversal of a decision. Again, this depends on your chart.
Child custody arrangements for Christmas are a classic example of what might now reverse, stall or switch a couple of times. You thought you had your son, but your mother-in-law thinks differently! You might also be looking at classic sex-and-money situations like childcare payments, or child support.
How do people in the astrological know, intend to deal with Mercury Retrograde? They treat November as a dress rehearsal, first take or second take. They avoid the difficult dates. They go to final cut, from 7th December.
Work and Wellbeing – Answers and Golden Opportunities
You were promised promotions, big hits, stunning achievements, hot new jobs and other delights for 2019. Yet, the year so far has been a fizzer, with some definite highlights – but way too many disappointments. You’ve been let down by flakey people in their twenties or their big, bad bosses higher up the chain. One of the reasons for this is Ceres, alongside Jupiter, in your work, unpaid work, university and college zone.
It’s all been a tussle or a constant push to compromise! You may not have wanted to sell out like that, so you’ve been stuck in some kind of cosmic stand-off, wondering when life will deliver but also realising there are some things you just won’t do.
I’ll look at the wellbeing, health and mental health aspects of this cycle in a moment because for some of you that has massively affected your job, housework, charity work or university course.
Essentially you have some big leaps forward with your paid or unpaid work. Or study! November 15th is the one to watch. Ceres goes then. November 23rd, 24th, 25th, 26th, 27th is astonishing, with an epic solution or stunning opportunity you’ve not seen for 12 years. It goes on, too. The more you give and put out – the more you offer – the more you receive from May 6th, 2020 to January 18th, 2022, specifically as a result of what went down in late November 2019. This is the cycle of the Moon’s Nodes, which they knew at Stonehenge. So, in a nutshell…Ceres out of Sagittarius on November 15th, with a Jupiter-Venus conjunction and New Moon in Sagittarius, between November 23rd-27th. Having struggled to seize the day and take full, glorious advantage of rather a historic turning point with work, unpaid work or study – you now find that you can. In fact, you may be approached. You may not even have to hustle. All the problems you were distancing yourself from before can now be faced. You’re crazy not to take an obvious opportunity when every one of your work or university/college rivals is milking it. So, try to milk it too, but know that at last you will be doing it on your terms. You’ll set new rules for yourself, late November – and for ‘this.’
Health and Mental Health
The Sixth House of your chart rules serious issues you live with, affecting your body, but also the common cold. It also rules the common colds of mental illness – insomnia, anxiety and depression. Your personal birth chart will reveal the issue your doctor, surgeon or healer has been considering in 2019. The actual outcomes are tied to those dates I mentioned. November 15th the endless tussling and need to strike deals with yourself, him, her, them (or God) is over. Ceres changes signs. We then go to this exceptional final week when you see a solution. Quel solution.
We get our astrology from the Romans who shipped it to Britain, who then shipped it to America. For the Romans, the planet and god Jupiter (who now visits your health chart) was the ultimate king of all cures and remedies. His son Apollo was named in The Hippocratic Oath taken by the medical profession. His grandchild Aesculapius was the supreme healer of the Roman Empire. His grandchildren Hygiea (prevention) and Panacea (solutions) were also part of the family. So, you’d have to expect something big when Jupiter turns up conjunct Venus in your house of health, final week of November. Jupiter may manifest as a person. So – a tall or big man – bearing answers.
By all the laws of astrology when you see Ceres moving out, Jupiter moving closer to Venus and a New Moon (a new beginning) you’re going to end November 2019 with a big finish and your body will thank you for it.

Wonderful Solutions! Babies, Infants, Children, Teenagers and Young Adults
Leo, here we have fantastic opportunities and solutions for you ahead. The Jupiter-Venus conjunction and New Moon of November 23rd, 24th, 25th, 26th, 27th makes the final week of the month reason to celebrate. Expect relief and release if you have had problems for/with your son or daughter. In other cases, you will go to the next level with pregnancy, adoption, godparent status, step-parenting or similar. Life as an aunt, uncle or grandparent may reward you then.
Two things are happening here. You’re seeing a cycle of growth, problem-solving, expansion, hope and spectacular answers come around. There will be a complicated relationship involved, so get ready for that. It will be as complicated as mother-son, daughter-in-law and mother-in-law, lovers or husband/wife. It will have all those levels of emotion!
The departure of Ceres from Sagittarius is to be welcomed. Very few astrologers use this planet, but I would not dream of predicting your future without her. If you’re wondering why all of the above (babies, infants, children, teenagers and young adults) have given you such a hard time in 2019, Ceres is your answer. She pushes off on November 15th, so a lot is going to happen very quickly.
The struggles over power and control that have been there since January 26th vanish. In their places comes, at last, fulfilled potential. Leo, so many of you choose to be free from parenthood and go for larger challenges involving children, teenagers or people born in the Nineties. Some of you write, teach, play music, coach sport, raise money, direct theatre and so on. Your personal birth chart will reveal the path you’ve taken in life.
Leo parents are much more like Queen or King to a younger court. You don’t have a son or daughter: you rule them, mentor them and make them your true heirs.
It’s the same with a young audience, market or demographic. You don’t just have these people around as your interns or target group. Your paid or unpaid work guarantees a leading role – star of the show – born to rule.
What you experience as Ceres finally pulls out of Sagittarius, which rules younger faces for you, and the New Moon and Jupiter, with Venus, emerges – is memorable. It’s wonderful and unforgettable, actually. Leo, what you receive in terms of rewards and solutions will be a direct reflection of how hard you worked this year, and how closely you followed the astrological advice.
One last thing. Give back what you get. Or, just give – give, give, give! Why? The more you put out there in the final week of November, unconditionally, the better the karmic rewards when the South Node goes into Sagittarius, May 6th, 2020 to January 18th, 2022. That’s not why you’re being so kind and generous, of course, because you do that anyway. Yet, you will find that in the fullness of time, the spiritual debts and soul credits you create in the final week of November 2019 come back to you in the most obvious way, by 2022.
Your House, Apartment, Family, Household, Town, Country
This is a really messy Mercury Retrograde, so I hope you read the warning dates I posted about this cycle two years ago now – they are all here.
Don’t renovate, reshuffle the household, make big new family plans (Christmas, for example) or even think about moving, unless you know the rules. Mercury is paperwork, discussion, signatures, diaries, emails. Retrograde is basically ‘re’ in front of every word you can think of. So, you may have to re-renovate later. You may have to retract the promise you make to a relative, or they may reschedule their arrival.
None of this is really a big deal unless you are bringing in a new roommate/flatmate for 2020 or thinking about selling. And I know a ton of people who use this cycle quite consciously to make a profit. Yet – I have to say – near November 11th, 12th, 24th it’s hugely difficult for you to get what you want (or need). Be really aware of potential pitfalls then, and use astrology to help you avoid, say, an approach from a builder, or a property auction.
If you have to go in with unavoidable decisions forced upon you by the council, for example, follow the rules. Get everything in writing. Read it twice. Get an outside opinion. Have Plan B and also Plan C.
Expect the situation to go backwards and forwards until Mercury Retrograde is over, and that is not until the final shadow, on the weekend of 7th December. I’m sure you know enough about your horoscope by now to realise you can put off the necessary paint job, for example.

Redecorating, Renovating, Revamping, Relocating in November
You’ll be successfully and happily redecorating the guest room, renovating the bathroom or kitchen (long overdue), revamping the look of your bedroom, or even relocating before Christmas. In fact, we can give you specific timing in astrology, Virgo! I’ll talk about the actual family or household in a moment, because that’s karmic and involves your past lives together. For now, let’s just look at the house, apartment or holiday home.
I realise some of you have property portfolios or want to buy, so we’d have to expect a fantastic opportunity for you in the final week of November, owing to the massive fluctuations we’re seeing in the property markets around the world, by that stage (I am writing this on October 25th).

Virgo, I mention town and country (maybe state or county too) because this goes beyond the actual home. Sure, you’ll be seeing fantastic solutions, after a very difficult year of endless compromise, frustration and waiting games. Yet this goes beyond how much space you have, or how the place looks and feels. We’re also digging very deeply into your sense of belonging to a particular city, region or country. It’s about your heritage, roots, culture and belonging.
You’re going to have to work a complicated relationship, bond or connection in the final week of November, to get there. This may be family, like mother and son. You’re also going to have to be ready (‘Ready, Aye Ready!’) for that New Moon as soon as you see it, as December comes closer. That’s your call to action.

Oh gawd. Your ruler Mercury is retrograde all month and this is personal for you. It’s a really good month to rewrite a chapter, script, song lyric, speech and so on. Not a particularly fabulous time to launch. Not unless you want aforementioned product to get out there with mistakes, or with cancellations, rescheduling or other classic Mercury Retrograde issues. Don’t buy a computer or phone unless you have to – and if you have to, read the fine print on repairs, refunds, non-delivery, late delivery and so on. This applies to Internet Service Providers too.
Mercury is about journalism, public speaking and Twitter. When he goes backwards you tend to see epic Google, Twitter or (typically) Facebook fails. We also see general Microsoft or Apple issues too. You get product recall, or mass hacking or other obstacles. Picture a courier taking the train with a package, with signal failure up ahead. The chaos extends through the network. That’s November.
It’s an excellent time to review, rehearse, rethink, reconsider. Put your chin on your hand and stroke it, Virgo. The madness is well and truly over from December 7th but until then, even the media itself is going doo-lally. It’s just so interesting to look at the big, long-term picture with all your ideas, plans and projects, Libra. What you might have assumed was just a 2019 event which is all over by 2020, has a long reach, all the way to January 2022. This may mean a spin-off, so be prepared for that. Or – you may find rolling consequences of your original concept or brainwave, which take you into the years 2020 as well as 2021.
You’d have to admit, you’ve had a nice surprise recently. In fact, as you read this, it’s just been 2-3 weeks since you realised how lucky you were and what a blessing someone (or something was). People have been kind, or fate has been kind, but you are ending the year with a really good result.
The reason this has all been so mixed, to date (at least before you reached October) was a potent and complicated little planet called Ceres, creating major issues about how much control you had. How much power you had. How powerful you did or did not feel. There were so many questions about other people taking over, or you are feeling unsure about how much you could flex your muscles. Now, Ceres is out of Sagittarius on 15th November and you have so much more to play with.
Your way with words, ideas and images brings rewards to your door once we get to the period of November 23rd to 27th. Your book, television or radio idea, YouTube channel, Twitter account, website, thesis, course, workshop and so on, goes to the biggest and best possible, on November 23rd, 24th, 25th, 26th, 27th. The New Moon in Sagittarius has a lot to do with this, but you’ll feel vindicated.
I mentioned the long-term too. As the South Node goes into this communication and information zone from May 6th next year, and does not move out until January 18th, 2022, I feel there is more to this than meets the eye. You’ll be able to squeeze so much more from the audience you’ve discovered, the learning that’s taken place, the contacts and connections you’ve made, or the bonds you’ve forged. It’s a grower, Libra.
When Finances Stall in November
You won’t be out of the Mercury Retrograde muddle until December 7th, Libra, so please make allowances for delayed payments, or non-payments. There may also be major issues about the status of your shares, pension or superannuation. The value of your house or apartment, or property investment. Perhaps the issue is a legacy or will. Government benefits. Your credit cards.
Mercury is the old Roman ruler of communication, information, transportation and negotiation and he goes backwards until December 7th. He was at the very start of this cycle back in October when the California fires saw a power grid shutdown – and Brexit was at its most muddled in months. That’s all the evidence you need! By the way – some astrologers and Google itself, still peddle the story that Mercury Retro doesn’t begin until November. This is quite wrong and I’m assuming you’ve already seen it for yourself, with your money.
(And if you still think Mercury Retro didn’t begin in October, ask yourself why the Californian grid went down!)
It began as October did, and you’ve already had 2-3 weeks of complication with your former partner (in some cases, if he provides for the children), you’re invoices and the rest.
The good news is, November can be handled in expert fashion. You’ll avoid making major decisions on the 10th, 11th, 12th, 13th of the month – for example. And you’ll know not to go ahead with paperwork until after December 7th – unless you have to. If you absolutely must go in for signatures allow for things to be held up, changed or reversed so your schedule is not affected.
Libra, you are going to have to make radical changes to your budget in 2020. You know that. In fact, you have already been inventing and innovating, thinking about next year and how differently you’ll do things. Allow for surprises in that mix, though. You’ve already had a couple this year and in November there will be more. This makes you radically alter your long view of things. Ultimately it will make you far freer and more independent, but let’s leave that prediction for 2020.

Here we have ‘delivery’ after a year of major stand-offs, politics and hard home truths. You’ve had both Jupiter, the planet of big opportunity, and Ceres – a symbol of difficult situations – in your finance zone all year. In fact, just about every time you get excited about a new possibility, you run into other people trying to control everything. You are a fixed sign. You find it hard to bend, sometimes. You are also ruled by Pluto. You are powerful in your own right and find it hard to submit to other people, especially when you just know they’re off track – or plain wrong.
For whatever reason, you’ve been thrown a couple of obvious opportunities in 2019 with your shares, company, business, charity, house, apartment, valuables, investments and the rest. You’ve not been interested or found it too hard to play ball! Nevertheless, Scorpio, a process has been taking place with you.
This process might be called divine in nature. Divine intervention? Maybe. For a start all the power and control issues (the politics) you have had with a certain person, or even a whole group of them, melts away on 15th November. You’re seeing a compromise or gesture. We then to the sparkling days of November 23rd, 24th, 25th, 26th, 27th, when I am delighted to report a conjunction between Venus, the planet of relating (and relationships) and Jupiter, the planet of abundance, growth, expansion, hope, optimism, big-picture thinking and global awareness. At this point, you will need very little persuading. Sure, this is a connection with many, many layers and tremendous crosscurrents between the pair of you, but it also means ‘your cup runneth over.’ Take it.
The golden rule here is to give or give back. Hire people if you can suddenly afford to do so. Donate! The very good reason for this is the South Node in Sagittarius, in the same employment and charity zone of your chart, which also brings in questions about helping family members out, being generous with your parents and so on. We see this karma cycle from May 6th, 2020 to January 18th, 2022 so it’s with you for an awfully long time. Much as you’ve reason to be cheerful (to quote Ian Dury) as November ends you need to think about 2020, 2021 too. You’ll get what you give, then.
Mercury Retrograde in Scorpio
This is a classic cycle for false starts, missteps, mistakes, reversals and delays – with your name. It began way back as October did (ignore what some astrologers tell you!) and as you’ve already seen, nothing to do with yourself has really gone straight. It may be as fundamental as seeing your name in print, or online and knowing that the whole story is wrong. When we see Mercury stuck in your sign, it’s usually about you, you, you.
There may have been diary rescheduling with a portrait or photograph of yourself. With cosmetic surgery. With a public relations person or make-up artist. That also fits the cycle. Enrolling for weight-loss classes and never getting there, or pulling out, is another classic example. You’ll have your own.
Your name on a book, or your name attached to a particular role or position, is also ruled by Mercury retrograde in Scorpio. It never quite pans out as it should. The good news?
You have until December 7th to spin your wheels and make notes on what you want. You also know this cycle is happening, so can work around. This may have been your website, blog, Twitter account or similar, but if it was interrupted or complicated back in October, at least you can spin your wheels figuring out next steps for 2020.
You might call it enforced inspiration time. You also get to see what really, really matters to you with your image. This cycle is classically about your reputation and name, attached to a title, role, project – so you’re upfront.

Image, Profile, Brand, Name, Reputation, Appearance – November Rebirth!
All these questions about how to promote yourself – how to rate on Twitter – now come full circle for you. The fact is you’ve been living with Jupiter and Ceres in Sagittarius all year, and so, despite recent glad tidings about yourself, you are still full of questions about how to make things work.
This has been a really political year. You have been in the odd position of being handed things on a plate that could turn your reputation or brand around. That could make the biggest difference to how you are seen and how you appear. Then, you’ve walked away, because there were too many problems. Or – others have walked away, having led you on. And led you on. And led you on!
This may have been anything from a weight-loss group to a new job with a different title and business card for you. The First House, where we have found Ceres and Jupiter, is about how you shape up. How you front up.
What I’m looking at here is not just a November 2019 story, Sagittarius. It’s actually about 2020 and 2021 as well. I believe you’ll be truly happy with what comes to pass after Ceres is out of Sagittarius on November 15th. What happens is enough to take the sting out of earlier disappointments with your look, image, appearance, public face, name, reputation and so on.
Far better still is the Jupiter-Venus conjunction and New Moon in Sagittarius, between November 23rd-27th. That’s when you’ll realise the universe really was backing you after all. This may be the clear sign of a tremendous triumph for you.
The South Node in Sagittarius, May 6th, 2020 to January 18th, 2022, is the karma clean-up after the final week of November. This is a weird one for you. You have a gap of about five months before the whole ‘Me’ question begins again, but when it does – next May – you’ll realise that everything you donated, contributed and gave, so whole-heartedly, in the closing days of November is going to come right back to you. And again, it will be very much about your brand or name. Your face or style.

This is the cycle when you have Mercury (the plans) going backwards, forwards and getting stuck – affecting areas of your life you can’t even talk about. Well, you probably talk about them to your psychic or priest, but that’s it. We’re well into secrets here. The sins of your past catching up with you. Maybe, the content of your dreams that you have to share with a group. We associate Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous with this cycle, as much as we associate it with religion. Why? Because it’s private.
If you think about the confessional box in any Roman Catholic church, you’ll get the picture. It’s not a million miles away from the old chaise longue of Sigmund Freud, tucked away in North London. As we are now very much in a booming Mind, Body and Spirit industry, you’d also be thinking about self-help books, dream diaries or mediums. The Twelfth House is where you close the door and go inside.
Normally, Mercury in Scorpio would be giving you a fast three weeks to turn things around and wrap them up. Instead, ever since the start of October, around the 11th-12th, you’ve been stalling or stalled.
People have not done what you assumed; they would do. You have had to rejig your diary maybe once or twice, because you made mistakes. That’s fine. Spin your wheels until this cycle ends December 7th and keep making notes – and more notes – in your journal. You’ll be deleting, and adapting, for weeks. By the time the Christmas trees are well and truly up, all over the world, you’ll finally figure out where you stand and what to do.

Your Private and Hidden Inner Life
Capricorn, you saw a really obvious (huge) opportunity to work on yourself on the inside, at the end of 2018 or start of 2019. You were enthusiastic. This may have been a self-help group, a yoga or meditation class, a counsellor, therapist or priest. It may have been the call of astrology, dream therapy or the Tarot.
After the initial enthusiasm you realised you wanted more control and were not seeing it. In fact, you felt the whole situation was not yours – it belonged to him, her or them. So, you partly or wholly walked away.
Ever since October, though, you’ve been seeing something rather wonderful. The Universe held you in the palm of its hand all along. With a sufficient apology and compensation, that brilliant psychic may in fact have you back as a client…or it may be the reverse. The magic word on these Ceres cycles is ‘Sorry.’ Just saying sorry or accepting it, in either direction, can be awfully empowering for you, he, she and they in November.
As I’ve said, this is private. It may be about a sin you have committed, as the Twelfth House rules the Seven Deadly Sins. It’s also very much about your relationship with your God, if you have one at all. At the very least it’s about what you believe, as a scientist. Or an astrology reader.
You’ll be thrilled at the final outcome you see November 23rd-27th. Make the most of that and use it to give back, or be generous with others, as your karma comes around May 6th, 2020 to January 18th, 2022.
Friends and Groups in November
Try to avoid big social gatherings, parties, enrolment in teams, clubs, associations – and so forth – near November 11th, 12th, 24th. Those dates are so difficult, Capricorn. It would also be similar advice if you were thinking of going back into some kind of group and making a big decision. This may be a political party, trade union, secret society, football team, and so on. With these transits it is usually social so a dear friend is involved.
Those dates are a huge stretch and if you can order your diary any way you like, avoid them (allow 24 hours either side as Sydney and Los Angeles people live different time zones and lives). Mercury Retrograde has been churning in this zone of your chart since October 11th so this probably explains why nothing has stuck or made sense. Why you have met ‘Situation not expected’ at least once!
By the way, Mercury is retrograde far earlier than some astrology websites or columns tell you and it finishes far later. Don’t be fooled, please. You won’t be out of the woods until December 7th. Fortunately, astrology gives you the dates, so you know how to handle what is a muddled and messy month ahead.
This is when people break promises or do not give what you expected. It’s a month when you should not assume or presume too much. You may also find that a previous cycle in Scorpio, has caught up with you, so what you figured would have been cleaned up or finished – just isn’t!
It’s a really good month to take stock. To do some research online. To stop guessing or assuming about friendships or group psychology and actually find out. Let some of your old ideas go. They may not be right for 2020 and actually, your enforced waiting game in November is about mental planning for that year. You can figure out the rest, socially, or with friends, or your groups, from the start of December.

People Power and Friendship in November
Aquarius, you never merge within the group, but you are always the outsider everyone wants. Your experience, contacts, connections, talents or just your unique personality helps flip the chemistry. This makes for some amazing results, as you have seen in the past. No doubt you thought 2019 would be the same, but you were so disappointed by the direction the group was taking at the end of 2018 or start of this year – that you had to make it clear.
This is likely to still be stumbling on, but guess what? It’s the stumble that became a giant leap, as October showed you. While you were doing other things with your life, people surprised you and delighted you. You felt some kind of solidarity and mutual support again, no matter what happened before.
As I’ve had a few Aquarius readers ask me why 2019 wasn’t a joy-fest with their teams, clubs, groups, associations, bands, societies and the rest, I have to gently remind you that a lot of astrologers don’t work with Ceres. What’s Ceres? A symbol of politics. People who want to own a situation or control it! As much as you have had lucky Jupiter in your zone of friendships, Twitter and networks all year – you have also had this powerful planet too. She’s really been behind the saga you had earlier.
Now, with Ceres gone from this chart zone on November 15th and a dazzling new beginning for you from November 23rd-27th, you really have to say yes. I also think, beyond this situation, which is most immediately obvious to you, there is a second. Think back and you’ll remember how badly one person or organisation behaved, just a few months ago. You had high hopes and were basically booted out, or your ideas were.
Well, leave that door open. With this specific person or organisation, or another in the same ballpark area, you’ll see (this time) something real. Something terrific. And something irresistible.
The final week of November is hugely important for you Aquarius. Say yes to everything and everybody and figure out the details later. You don’t have to sign anything yet. What we’re talking about here is good karma with your friends and the group, as the South Node in Sagittarius rocks your world May 6th, 2020 to January 18th, 2022.
You’re such a ‘feeder’ of networks. Of community. As I said before, you don’t merge, you stand outside and supply. Yet, having done so very, very much for groups in the past – you’ll collect in 2020 and 2021. Make it even bigger and better by doing your utmost to be generous when life is so good to you, as November ends.
Career, Unpaid Work, University/College Life in November
I seem to spend my whole time on the internet correcting people who read an astrology column or website claiming that Mercury Retrograde begins with November. Not so. This has been dominating your work, unpaid work or degree for most of October – so you know it already started!
Classic examples include rather expensive adjustments to your diary, because you got things wrong the first time, or others have suddenly announced different dates to you. (This may have been going on since October 11th). You’ve also seen all your best-laid plans scuppered, because of unreliable or worse, untrustworthy people or organisations. You put your faith in him, her or them – and were let down – so everything has to switch.
This has an impact on your goals, ambition and role until December 7th. Treat November as a dress rehearsal or first take if you can, Aquarius. This is not going to change your life. In fact, the ‘stickiness’ or repetition of your situation ends for good on May 6th, 2020, when the North Node changes signs.
Work has been a Merry-Go-Round that’s not been particularly merry, as you’ve been met with karma from 19 years ago, and even 19 years before that. Did you know? Well, in astrological terms (especially in India) that’s the reason nothing has really moved forward. Or – it has explained why karma’s come and got you in 2019.
Looking ahead into the future, your horoscope corrects itself on December 7th so there are no more delays, changes or reversals with the original ideas about your career or role. Even further ahead, from May next year, you’re in the clear. You won’t feel so stuck!
We have some days for meetings, job interviews, important Skype calls, contracts and hirings/firings which are such hard work I’d prefer you skipped them. We’re talking November 11th, 12th and 24th. Allow a day either side, as the time zones are obviously so radically different between Hawaii and Auckland. If you must proceed on those days, then get it in writing, read the fine print and get a second opinion. Have Plan B and also Plan C up your sleeve.

Your Ambition, Mission, Role and Position in November
Pisces, 2019 does end up rewarding you, in terms of there being some kind of karmic payback or justice, for your many years of hard work or education. You’re already feeling so much better about what was essentially a mini failure to you, dating from end 2018 or early 2019. Back then you were dismayed at the way things were out of your hands, and by the attitude of one person in particular who felt that something was all his/her territory!
No wonder you quit, or half-quit. Maybe you just had to quit in your head and mentally resign, as the project or job has had to roll on. Yet – something rather fabulous has now made you feel a lot better about your role, project or plan and you are quite right to be optimistic. In fact, you should be a lot more than that.
Your whole problem has been Ceres in Sagittarius, in your Tenth House of career, ambition, social status, popularity, power and position. She’s out of that sign on November 15th and with her, goes the politics. In fact, either as a direct result of what you signed up for, a long time ago – or a spin-off from the original project – you will be celebrating major success and unforgettable natural highs, on November 23rd-27th. Father Christmas comes early then. Sure, the actual relationship may be complicated, with tremendous jealousy or possessiveness on one side (this is typical of Venus, who is next to Jupiter at this time).
Who cares, though, when your C.V. in years to come looks quite so epic? This is an achievement whose gestation and delivery you may have very mixed feelings about, but you’d have to admit, 2019 is going to end well.
There’s more, Pisces. I’m looking way ahead here, to 2022. You have the South Node of karma going into this same zone of achievement, social rank, position and ambition – from May 6th, 2020 until January 18th, 2022.
I mention this because everything you give back, donate, help out with and pass on – in this tremendously lucky final week of November – comes back to you in that timeframe.
They call Jupiter the planet of protection. He does that, and gets you out of trouble, if you’ve had any. Yet, he also very much rewards you by helping you to expand your career. You may have been prominent or successful in one field, but Jupiter invites you to cross over into quite another. There may also be expansion involving specific countries or languages: having done pretty well in one territory, you see a door opening in another. All this fits the final week of November, and the symbolic language of Jupiter, Venus and the New Moon in your chart.
The only caveat I have is for those of you who are involved in publishing, education, academia, the travel industry or export/import with foreign language nations. You’ll still be very happy with the outcomes of late November, but you’ll be stuck, delayed or thwarted earlier on. Here’s why.
Mercury Retrograde and Your Book, Website, Trip, Foreign Connection, Relocation
I still see far too many astrologers giving you the wrong dates for Mercury Retrograde, so let’s be clear. The planet of travel, transport, the internet, telephones and computers began moving strangely on October 11th. That is when he was busy organising his own backward steps on 19th, 20th, 21st, 22nd – when he was due to get stuck. Which is in just three weeks’ time, Pisces. They call him a trickster and that’s why. He tricks millions of people every time he goes retrograde – and you’ll see that now.
Actually you already saw one dramatic situation in October. You had just assumed, or guessed, on an outcome. You were looking forward to it. You did not get it. In fact, you got something (instead) that utterly changed just about every plan you had. This would have been about your book, trip, foreign involvement, relocation, course, workshop or website. We associate Mercury Retrograde in the Ninth House with the bigger picture. People from other cultures or nationalities. Emigration, travelers or migrants. Universities, colleges and lecture tours. Paperbacks, hardbacks, eBooks and websites. It’s really about pretty big horizons.
Mercury is the messenger of the gods who is supposed to make connections and firm up networks. He usually takes 2-3 weeks to do this when he’s moving normally. You are now watching him stumble around for the better part of two whole months, Pisces.
Does that explain anything? I thought it might. We’re talking November 11th, 12th and 24th for the really hard part, though. Please don’t launch on those dates, or within 24 hours of them – unless you like being stretched. Oppositions in astrology are really about opposite points of view. Being at opposite ends of a situation. Having opposing sides, even within your own heart and mind.
The oppositions we see at those times do not favour your job applications, new role discussions, promotional prospects or college/university commitments either. Mercury rules travel and transport so we may see strikes by pilots or ground staff. Extreme weather (storms, for example, in climate emergency conditions) which obstruct your schedule, or others from reaching you.
Readers in California, where the grid went down in October, right at the start of Mercury Retrograde (it began on the 11th) already know how this cycle works. In fact, by the time you read this, Mercury will have had an impact right around the world.
The great news is, November is your sketch pad time. It’s your journal-writing exercise. Map out first or second drafts. Beta-test the website. Allow for delays, changes and reversals. Keep an open diary. Have travel insurance! By 7th December at last you know where you stand and you can stop all the chopping and changing, or the waiting games. If this segues with the career opportunities and solutions I mentioned (above) just remember it’s going to be about another week or so before your chickens come home to roost. Especially if foreigners are involved.
