Uranus in Taurus

Page 128: “When Uranus goes into Taurus in 2018 we will also hit extremes with money. Watch. During the war in Britain, when the Uranus in Taurus children were growing up, government slogans included ‘Hit back with National Savings’ and ‘Lend, Don’t Spend’. The women of Britain donated their aluminium pots and pans…It was the era when one envelope could make fifty cartridge shells and waste-paper was vital. All these long-lost skills returned for a different reason when the Uranus in Taurus children faced the reality of an overcrowded, polluted planet in their middle years, and in their senior years, this generation is a powerful green lobby group. This older generation, retired (but with internet access) have made formidable campaigners.” Extract from 2020 Astrology: Your Five Year Horoscope Guide by Jessica Adams (Copyright Media Goddess Ltd 2016).

Elsewhere in this book, you will see why Uranus in Taurus from 2018 will bring a global banking revolution. My prediction (although I had not yet had my coffee) is that we will see the end of banks as we know them.

I know many astrologers and astrology beginners who see the same thing. We look around us and see Bitcoin, Paypal and Stripe. More importantly, though, we see that a very old cycle is about to repeat.

Uranus in Taurus people were born from 1935 until 1942. Pre-war and war babies. They know what rationing is like. They also knew what debt was. They came into the world not long after the Wall Street crash. Many suffered greatly from the effects of the Depression.

The alternative lifestyle movement which boomed in the 1970’s when this generation grew up (grow your own vegetables, buy a block of land, build your own home, keep chickens in the back garden) did so, partly as a result of their childhood in a world that knew wartime poverty and austerity.

In Britain, this was the ‘Dig! Dig! Dig! to victory’ generation who had grown up with urban allotments off Piccadilly during the Second World War. This generation invented entirely new ways to pay and shop – like the credit card.

The modern credit card was first used in the 1920s, in the United States, specifically to sell fuel to car owners. In 1938 several companies started to accept each other’s cards.

In September 1958, when the Uranus in Taurus children were old enough to be super-consumers, the Bank of America launched the first proper piece of fantastic plastic. This generation, in adulthood, were not only early adopters of the credit card, decimal currency, time-share, the Euro and mortgages, but they also became the environmentalists and conservationists of the 1970s and 1980s. This is why we associate Taurus with both extreme shopaholics and consumers, and radical Greens. Taurus knows both ends.

When Uranus goes into Taurus in 2018 we will also hit extremes with money. Watch.

During the war in Britain, when the Uranus in Taurus children were growing up, government slogans included ‘Hit back with National Savings’ and ‘Lend, Don’t Spend.’ The women of Britain to donate their aluminium pots and pans to be turned into Spitfires and Hurricanes, Blenheims and Wellingtons.

It was the era when one envelope could make fifty cartridge shells and waste-paper was vital. All these long-lost skills returned for a different reason when the Uranus in Taurus children faced the reality of an overcrowded, polluted, planet in their middle years, and in their senior years, this generation is a powerful green lobby group.

This older generation, retired (but with internet access) have made formidable campaigners.

Bingo!

When Uranus goes into Taurus from 2018 we are also going to see a gambling revolution. We may also see a global revolution against old-school gambling, like casinos. Why? We don’t know yet. But it’s probably coming, according to all the laws of astrology.

Bingo is just one of the trademark past times of the Uranus in Taurus generation.

A Bingo rule book appeared in 1933 after the game had been copyrighted. Other typically Uranian inventions connected to money, possessions and property include the Premium Bond, a lottery bond issued by Britain’s government National Savings and Investment scheme.

The bonds were introduced by Harold Macmillan in his 1956 budget and the Uranus in Taurus generation, all grown up and ready to spend, fell over each other in their eagerness to embrace this inventive way of sanctioned gambling. Other inventions which have intrigued this generation include scratch lottery cards, and of course, that Las Vegas favourite – the computerised poker machine.

Naturally…

Your Aquarius Side and Friendships to 2023

If you have a stellium in Aquarius (more than three factors in that zodiac sign) then your Eleventh House of friendships and groups is unusually packed. What happens to those friendships when Saturn, Jupiter and then Pluto all pass through Aquarius? Have friends been lost, or has the friendship changed? That’s typical of this long cycle.

Ghislaine, the Royals, Trump and Leo Eclipses

Astrology forecasts made before an historic chain of eclipses chimed with predictions of drama for the Royal Family, Bill Clinton, Donald Trump – and a strange twist of fate involving Lolita. Published so long ago that Ghislaine Maxwell and Jeffrey Epstein were still unknown to the public, they now suggest July-August 2021 is a time of reckoning. Meghan, Harry, Kate and William have also been drawn into the astrological timeline. How do the Leo eclipses pan out in 2021 and 2022?

  1. Hi Jessica, tkank you for excellent job. Having Jupiter in Taurus in the 6th house, how do you see that it affects me? Do you recommend me to do something special?

    1. You have Jupiter in Taurus in the Second House of business using the Natural House System and have a natural instinct for making money and saving it as well. If you have gathered good karma over the last few years, and particularly about 12 years ago, then now is payback time as a friendly universe will send you the allies and resources you need to either create cash flow or just secure yourself in a way that is affordable. Your karmic task if you should accept it, is to raise money for those who have nothing – but also to pay people who can enjoy the work they do for you – and pay them fairly. You are part of the solution of ‘the new world’ we see in May 2020. In fact you were always going to be that!

  2. HI Kate, I found your podcast very interesting. Am I correct in concluding that the financial markets most likely will be down from May 1 to October 4? Do you have a website or blog that I can check into? Do you provide phone or e-mail consultations? Thanks, Lony

    1. It’s Jessica here. Kate can be found at Profit With the Planets on Twitter @profitwiththeplanets and she also has a blog under the same title, Profit With the Planets. Thanks Lony.

  3. Hi Jessica,

Many thanks for the article. It’s very much appreciated.
I have Aesculapia at 2° Taurus. My career is in pharmaceutical regulatory affairs. I’ve been out of work for a while now and living of my savings which are drying up. I’ve just had to take a mortgage payment break to keep me afloat. I’m desperately trying to find a job but it’s been rather difficult. I’ve never had any difficulties in earning a living before but lately it’s been like bad karma is hovering over me and every company door I knock on is shut into my face. Is there an end to being jobless any time soon?
    Thanks.

    1. I am sorry you have been out of work and are using up your savings. There is no bad karma. You are experiencing what millions of others are going through and you are not alone. It is not you, it is the world. Please turn to a young man who is quite a few years your junior. He is interesting, intriguing, not the usual male stereotype. If you invite him to a fancy dress party, he dresses up. He can share with you. Do you know him? If not, he will turn up in 2020. I am using the Tarot to read for you, which I seldom do, but I think you deserve it after all you have gone through. What we have here is the Page of Cups. A younger man clad in pink and blue clothes, holding a fish in a gold cup. The gold is good – it’s valuable. The fish might mean something personal to you – not sure. Of course a fish can be sold or eaten. It’s also valuable. Or you can throw it back into the sea ‘Plenty more fish where that came from.’ Fish are associated with Pisces. Perhaps that is a clue. But this is a welcome card. If you engage with this younger man, even a boy – and meet him on his own level – he will likely meet you halfway too. You need to see it is way and play the game with him. Together you could combine your practical ability with his particular qualities, and do something sensible about that solid gold asset. I hope this is making sense to you – if not in April 2020 – then later. This does not sound like the career you come from. There is no regulation about it! The picture is flowing, a little offbeat, rather creative and colourful – and yet it is a picture you can put yourself in and benefit from. Have a look for Pamela Colman Smith’s Page of Cups card on Google when you finish reading this and use the Images option. Look at the card. It’s yours. It’s positive, hopeful, not what you expected but if you play it right, this situation and the younger male involved will really work well for you. Until then, rest assured, there are millions in the same boat as you. And we all of us have paid taxes to protect you and each other. And that’s a given.

  4. Jessica, I am unable to the time to listening to these podcasts as valuable as they are. Speed reading is something I can do. Is there a way for you to offer transcripts of these podcasts? Many thanks.

    1. Sorry, no transcript as I do not use a script. But – have a look at 2020 as a Search term and you will find a wealth of predictions, some made three or four years ago, about this new year ahead. Thank you.

  5. Hi Jessica, I hope you are well and staying safe. Thank you for the excellent articles. I have my Moon in Taurus in the second house. How do you see things for me in the next few weeks/months.
    Thanks,
    Agnes

    1. Hello Agnes. Thank you – we’re all doing fine here. Your Moon in Taurus in the Second House is really about a lifestyle transformation, relative to your budget. And it goes back the other way. A budget transformation, relative to your lifestyle. It’s not just about your natal Moon. It’s also about the Moon in Virgo, going through your Sixth House of everyday life, every 29 days or so. When the Moon does this, it trines your natal Moon. It also trines transiting Uranus, the planet of quite radical change. Know your truth. Don’t worry what other people say or think. You know what spells absolute comfort and luxury to you. It might be a mug of vegetable soup. Moon in Taurus people need their bottom line of ‘luxe’ and once you figure that out, you may find it costs very little. It may even be free. Use May with all its incredible news and changes, to create your new life budget.Watch the Moon in Virgo, too – and the Moon in Capricorn – every 29 days or so. When the Moon goes through those signs you are cushioned so well, and supported so much, as you set about building your new financial and lifestyle model.

  6. Hello and thank you for a great podcast as usual. I have my moon in Taurus at 2 degrees- any advice you can share with me? Thanks!

    1. Thank you. Well, you have already been through Uranus conjunct your Moon at 2 Taurus, so you know that you are waking up in a different world. What I would say, about 2020, is that you need to think about paying your bills in a new way. Also earning your money and spending it. Do it in currency on a sheet of paper. What is X worth and what is Y worth, in this ever-changing situation? It may be that loo paper is in short supply, depending on where you live, so suddenly a roll is worth so much to you! That’s a silly example but it has really been happening. Most importantly, and at the core of all this, is what people are worth. What do you pay people? What can you give to people? One can never put a tag on a human being, but at some point we have to be practical about what we can budget for in our personal lives, in our home lives, work lives and so on. You are going to see even more changes than you expected in May. Governments are going to pull rabbits out of hats and business/shopping/property is going to produce a second rabbit. Just knowing, at the very core of you, what matters most (and putting a dollar, euro or pound value) will help keep you grounded.

  7. “…You are solely responsible for your own financial decisions, as no astrologer on a website can possibly know your chart…”. It’s not about personal chart here. Financial decisions are like surgical decisions. Astrology can guide, but… Look, i.e. astrology says the will be a job market meltdown. First thought – stock market is going down. Not really. For a couple weeks US had worst jobless numbers on record and stock market was RISING and hitting records. It is complicated if you are inexperienced. I was also angry with Jessica’s predictions before. But over time I had to learn, that Jessica was right; it was I who has misinterpreted the link astrology – reality. But I have learned. Indeed now I am more happy to have learned and developed myself, than I would have made “casino type” money and falsely thought how good I am, so keep it positive, life is about what is inside us

  8. Dear Jessica

Thank you for your extensive thoughts. Coupled with your monthly forecast for Libra, you comment regarding changes and the last of the North Node in my 10th house. Thinking back 19 years ago, I was about to change my job, what please should I be aware of now, appreciating the bull markets?

    Many thanks

    1. You are in a Node cycle, well and truly – 19 years ago you were changing jobs. Now, the Nodes change sign again, and you may well be pivoting. I am sure you know ‘pivot’ is the buzz word for people who spin their careers, their qualifications, their projects, their skills. A little twist is a very smart idea and you may be twisting for some time. I can’t help but look at your user name and think about gardening, food, health, the body, allotments, land and so on. I wonder if that is your clue, this year? Not everything you do has to be paid with money. Some people work quite happily for a tray of strawberries, don’t they!

  9. Hi Jessica,

Kate Silas believes the market will most likely go down in the May 11-14 range when Saturn, Venus & Jupiter go retrograde. You wrote that, “On May 1st, 4th and 7th, 2020, the markets will see extreme drama.” How did you determine these earlier dates in May? Many thanks.

    1. Kate and I use different methods to reach the same conclusions. I use sociology and history. So, billions were born with Scorpio placements in their personal birth charts. This is thanks to the slow outer planet transits of Scorpio (which rules mortgage and marriage, and also family legacies). Everyone born in the Sixties, for example, has Neptune in Scorpio. So…when we see an unusual cluster in Taurus, the opposite sign, which rules bull markets and gold bullion (and the food sector) we know there is pressure on billions. Why? A Scorpio-Taurus opposition. That happens on those dates in May I mentioned when we’re seeing extreme Taurus or Scorpio patterns. The clincher is the Full Moon in Scorpio when the Moon in the sign of marriage and mortgage, legacy and family (sex and death and money) is right opposite the Sun in Taurus. I think there is a 50% chance of a bull market and a 50% chance of a bear market. It will happen in minutes. Very sudden, very fast. This really is an historic moment when the nations involved can either join forces and avert a collapse, ptimistically, thinking about some kind of united and constructive landing – or take the dive. If they take the dive it’s a mess that is hard to restructure. If you are curious about Scorpio and Taurus do look them up on Search. Second House and Eighth House too. (You have time, right?) We all have time these days! Everything I have said here for you and others to look at is for entertainment an educational purposes only. For more on this, see the feature we run on how to use my astrology. If you look at history, you will see that Scorpio and Taurus pattern cluster around extreme sharemarket events. Astrology is strange but true, if you use it the right way.

  10. Hey Jessica
I really love reading your astrology reports each week and month. You are very talented, thankyou for sharing your gift with us all. I was born in Ballarat Victoria 3/8/1981 at 11.07am. With the current climate I wanted to ask your perspective and insight on my future….re work, living arrangements, relationships, learning and study if you didnt mind
    Thanks very much
    Melinda

    1. Sorry my birth time is 1208 sorry. PS i hope you are travelling and keeping well

    2. Thank you Melinda. You are going to completely reshape your lifestyle and workload in 2020, to your total advantage. In fact, you have already started. You have had no choice, obviously, because of the Rona situation! Yet, beyond that, we have to say that with Jupiter smiling favourably on your horoscope, you are in the right place, at the right time – to kick a habit, perhaps. You would know what that was. Or, even more positively, to start consciously creating a commitment to exercise. And maybe more than one kind. None of this is very exciting stuff, but you only have this cycle once in every 12 years and you are being seriously nudged to transform the way you use your body and what you put into it. You will work smarter not harder. In fact, with this great Jupiter transit also making a nice angle to the Moon in your Sixth House of work efficiency and productivity, you will get things to a stage where you have eight hours in a day and use them like an absolute master of the universe! Relationships and living arrangements (assuming you live with a partner) are your 2020 challenge. A waiting game – patience – learning from the past – being sensible (not wonderfully spontaneous and romantic, or wild) is the key to your year. Yet all the effort you put in during 2020 will pay off in 2021 either with this person, or a new lover with whom you test your new relationship skills. 2021 will be terrific for love and sex for you. Learning and study? Well, from early May (not far off now) you will be returned to a subject, organisation or person who mattered around 19 years ago, in 2001. Perhaps 2000 or 2002, depending on the choices you made. Think about who was around to show you the way then, and open the gate to a particular kind of discovery for you. What sticks in your mind? That’s where you now have some karma to collect, in 2020, 2021, 2022.

  11. God bless you for your magnificent job.

Any chance you can see how the asteroid Melpomene is going to impact my life this month with so many planets in my house, please?
I’ll be very grateful to you.
    Thank you,
    Moi

  12. Dear Jessica, thank you for not working with Melpomene!!!

Very sorry to bother you again but because I don’t have Arie in my birth chart I feel a little lost with all the planets transitioning. Also, I really don’t know what to expect from the Pink Moon for the same reason: no Arie in my chart!

    Please help me,
    Thank you,
    Moi

    1. We already had the Pink Moon, so that’s passed out of your chart. I am really happy to look at your question. I have a nice glass of fake wine here (lemon and honey, very sad compared to my old life in London!) and I have your chart in front of me. You are going into the new North Node in Gemini, South Node in Sagittarius cycle within days. It begins in early May. It will be with you in 2020, 2021 and early 2022. It moves across the Third House of your chart (travel in the mind, different regions and countries, ideas, the internet) and also across the Ninth House (knowledge to exchange, bigger geographical horizons). You have a couple of really high-potential plans, projects, qualifications or ideas. They won’t grow where you are. You need to move them across town, across the region, across the country, maybe across the world. You have done this before in another life. It also brings back experiences from 2001-2002. Karma is calling you. You’ll get so much out of this. Just nurture, pay attention to and fully tend both the plans you have. Don’t just fixate on one and ignore the other. Gemini is about ‘twin’ concepts. For more, look up North Node and South Node,Third House and Ninth House.

  13. Thanks in millions for your response, your kindness and professionalism.
    Best,
    Valerica

    1. Thanks so much TA. The New Deal prediction comes from the old astrology rule about history repeating itself. Franklin D. Roosevelt brought in his New Deal on the same Uranus in Taurus cycle we are seeing now. This is one of the reasons why I think anyone writing off Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC) in American politics is way off track. Her vision of a green new deal would fit right in with Britain, if she goes that way…

  14. Hi Jessica
Thank you for introducing us to Kate. I have just purchased her e-book, making myself a cuppa and read thoroughly.
    Cheers xx

  15. Hi Jessica, I have Saturn, Midhaven and Fortune in Taurus. Use to make money but last decade I’ve been struggling cause speculating. How do you see me in the future as I take high risks but can’t save lately.

    1. You have Uranus (the revolution, radical change, the unpredictable) in Taurus (money) for the first time in your adult life. It is here until 2026. Many astrologers have been talking about this cycle a long time before 2018, when it began. I strongly advise you to read everything I have posted on Uranus in Taurus, as a warning, on this website. And to read other great astrologers like my colleagues at The Sun Sign School, and some well-known forecasters like Michael Lutin (formerly with Vanity Fair), The Astro Twins (who predicted ‘one black swan’ incidents in 2020) and their peers. If ever there was a time to leave the past where it is, and do all the research you can on the present and future, it is now. Research and update – every week, sometimes. The old world model of greed and borrowing is over. Gone.
